"We need to split up. I'm going this way, so you guys go somewhere else and find a really good hiding spot," Charlie says, running off.
Addi rolls her eyes at Charlie's seriousness then starts to walk in the other direction.
"Where do you wanna hide?" she asks.
Kat shrugs. "I'm not really sure. I'm not too familiar with arenas."
"Okay.. How about we hide in one of the empty cafes?"
"Sounds good to me," Kat says, following Addi to an empty cafe and sitting down across from her behind the counter.
"So is this your first time at one of their concerts?" Addi asks.
"No I saw them last week in New York. And technically at the Teen Choice Awards and after party, too."
"Wait... Are you the girl who won that one model award?" Addi asks.
Kat nods, a sheepish look on her face.
"Congrats! That's awesome," Addi says.
"Thanks. I was just excited to be there."
"So were the boys. They were crazy nervous to be opening."
"I would be too. That's a ton of people watching."
Addi nods, and it's silent for a few moments. Then finally she says, "So you came with Noel today.."
"Yeah..."
"How'd you guys meet?"
"I met him at the after party."
"And you guys have been hanging out since?"
Kat shrugs. "Yeah, kind've."
"Okay I'm just going to warn you since I know what it's like to date someone who's constantly on the road. It's not easy. At all. But if you guys really love each other then you will make it work," Addi says, seriousness in her eyes.
Kat blushes. "I don't love him or anything like that. I barely know him."
Addi smiles. "I know. I just wanted to prepare you for what could come. Because you seem nice and I'd like it if you stuck around."
"I'm sure you'd love to have another girl around," Kat says.
"You have no-"
The girls are interrupted by screaming coming from outside.
"You'll never catch me!" Charlie screams, running into the cafe.
"What an idiot," Addi says, starting to stand. "He lead them right to us."
Kat stands too as Matt, Liam, and Noel run into the cafe.
"There they are!" Liam says, pointing to the girls.
"C'mon!" Addi says, grabbing Kat's arm and pulling her out of the cafe and down the hall. The boys follow, quickly catching up since they're so much taller.
"Here!" Kat says, pulling Addi into the seating area and down the steps towards the floor. They just made it to the floor when Liam yells, "Got ya!"
Kat turns around to see Liam with both hands on Addi. "Okay, okay. You got me," Addi says.
"You're damn right I did," he says, turning her around to face him and pressing his lips to hers. Addi laughs and kisses him back.
"Boooo!" One of the boys yells, and Liam breaks apart from Addi.
"Shut up. You're just jealous," he says, putting his arm around Addi as she rests her head on his chest.
Kat smiles at how in love they are, wishing that was something she could feel someday.
"I don't know what you guys are doing, but it's time for sound check. Let's go," a new voice says.
Kat turns to see a short man that looks around in his mid-40s emerging from behind the stage.
Noel comes up beside Kat and whispers, "That's our manager, Paul."
"Let's go boys," Paul says again, and the boys make their way back behind the stage.
"We should probably go back stage instead of watching. There will be some fans coming in to watch the sound check and have a meet and greet," Addi tells Kat.
Kat's a little disappointed because she wanted to watch, but she follows Addi behind the stage. At least she'd get to watch them at the real show.
