The Seventeen shoot and interview went really well, and Kat would be on the cover of the September issue. But Kat wasn't really focused on that, she was too excited for the Teen Choice Awards.

She was so excited that she called her stylist, Vicci, and begged him to let her come early on Thursday to come pick out her dress. He was a sweet man, so he said yes, and Thursday night she went down to his studio in downtown Manhattan.

He had different big brands like Gucci and Prada that had sent dresses down for her, and she ended up picking the Prada dress.
It was short, ending right around mid-thigh, and had sleeves that barely passed her shoulders. It was a light purple color, with a barely visible animal print on the bottom half and a little bit of shimmer on the top half.

They also decided what to do with her hair and makeup, and she could barely wait for Saturday to get here.

The next day passed unbearably slow, and Kat could barely keep herself from running down the stairs and out to the taxi on Saturday morning. She went down to Vicci's around 10:00 to start prepping.

First he put her long, blonde locks into curlers, then pinned them up on top of her head.
He had his makeup team work on her next, and told them to stay natural, saying that natural was the big thing in today's time.

They slowly put foundation on her face, covered up any small blemishes, then added just the slightest hint of light pink blush to give her cheeks a rosy tint. They used a lot of nude eyeshadows on her lids, then added a tiny bit of silver to the crease to add some sparkle.

They added eyeliner and mascara, then lightly shaped her eyebrows and she was finished.
After her makeup, Vicci started working on her hair again while a girl did her nails in a manicure.
Vicci let the curls out, and started to pin some of them up with his exquisite style and shaped her hair up into an up do, leaving some tendrils of curls out around her face.

They helped her into her dress after the hair was finished, and she put on her silver heels.

"Can I finally look now?" She asked Vicci.

"I suppose..." Vicci said with a sigh of fake exasperation. Kat giggles, then turned to face the floor length mirror.

When she caught sight of her reflection, she let out a small gasp, not believing it was her looking back in the mirror.

She'd had all kinds of stylists work with her before, but none of them had ever made her look so... beautiful. All of the other stylists had focused on eye-catching, bold looks, but Vicci used her natural beauty to her advantage and made her look breathtaking.

"Vicci.." Kat said, starting to tear up.

"No, no, no. No crying. You'll ruin your makeup!"

Kat laughed. "Thank you so much. I feel amazing because of you."

"And you look amazing too darling, like always. Now go have fun."

Getting ready had taken a few hours, which Kat expected, and she got to the arena around 5:00. It was perfect timing, as many celebrities had already started arriving and walking down the red carpet.
There were photographers and newscasters everywhere, snapping pictures and putting microphones in people's faces.

Surprisingly, this part of the job didn't overwhelm Kat like other things did. She descended down the carpet with poise and elegance, answering questions from different reporters and hugging and chatting with different people she recognized.

She didn't even have the time to take in all the famous people around her that she didn't know because there were so many of them, but Kat was still able to meet a few really cool people. She made her way down the carpet slowly and elegantly, then finally made her way into the arena.

After what seemed like forever and no time at all, Kat found her way to her seat. Ciara and Elissa were already sitting there in their designated seats beside hers. Ciara must've requested it.

"What took you so long?" Elissa asks, standing to give Kat a hug.

"Red carpet. You know how it is."

Kat leaned over and gave Ciara a hug then sat in her seat by the aisle.

"Are you excited?" Elissa asks, the giddiness in her voice making Kat laugh.

"I'm more freaking excited than you'll ever know. This is one of my dreams coming true," Kat answers.

Elissa nods in understanding, and the girls continue to chat for a little while as the rest of the people attending arrive and find their seats. It feels like an eternity and only a couple seconds before the show actually begins.

Some band Kat had never heard of before opens the show, then the host comes out and does her monologue. Shortly after the awards start being given out with short commercial breaks in between.

A couple other bands and singers play during the night too, and Kat begins to get nervous when it's almost time for the show to finish and her award hadn't come up yet.
But with two awards left to be go, Choice Model is up.

Kat feels her breath nearly stop as she hears the names of the nominees being read off, and she thinks she might pass out as the audience waits for the winner to be announced.
But finally, the name is said.
And it's Kat Riley.
