Chapter two
“Hey buddy! How are you?” Greyson asked at Ronan.
Ronan remained silent. It was night of the same day, and they were having dinner together. Greyson has been talking for half an hour nonstop about his visit to Germany.
Greyson noticed that Ronan has said nothing to him since he came back.
“Oh comon, is this what I get after leaving you for one week?” Greyson asked jokingly.
Still Ronan refuse to talk. He looked down at his dinner plate.
Danielle put a hand on Greyson's lap.
Greyson turned to face Danielle. She shook her head, signaling Greyson to stop trying to talk to Ronan.
Greyson cleared his throat. He continued to eat.
“Well, I guess it wouldn’t take long before Clark and I would start making it big.” Greyson said happily. “He just released his first song and its number two on the England top 10 music chart.”
Danielle smiled. “That’s nice.”
“Wow this chocolate chip cookie is just amazing!” Greyson said, taking a bite from Danielle’s homemade biscuits.
“Well, I made it as a gift for you for coming home.” Danielle said smiling.
“Oh, I forgot.” Greyson wiped his mouth using his handkerchief. “I have something special for my little man.” He smiled and took out an electronic keyboard that he has hidden behind his chair.
“I hope you like it.” Greyson smiled. “This is a very good model, one of the first models I used when I was little.”
Greyson nudged Ronan with his elbow. “You’re lucky you got an electronic keyboard. When I was your age, all I ever got was a teddy bear.”
Ronan, whose face was starting to turn a deep color of red, remained silent.
“What do you say to your dad Ronan for the gift?” Danielle asked Ronan.
“Thank you.” Ronan said meekly.
“Oh I just want to hug you now.” Greyson said, messing around with Ronan’s hair. “You’re so cute you know that.”
Ronan pushed Greyson’s hand away.
“DON’T TOUCH ME, I HATE YOU...!!” Ronan screamed, suddenly. He climbed down his chair, and ran towards his Nanny. He started to cry. Nanny Beth took him to the kitchen.
“What’s wrong with him?” Greyson asked surprised.
“Maybe you should figure that out yourself.” Danielle huffed, throwing her handkerchief at Greyson. She left the dinner table, leaving Greyson alone.
“wha—“ Greyson said, perplexed.
