Chapter four
Danielle sat in the living room looking at the framed pictures on the phone table.
She was waiting for Greyson to come back since ten o’clock and now the clock was showing one in the morning. Danielle sighed.
This might be one of the nights when Greyson doesn’t come home. Danielle thought. She was just about to leave when she heard the sound of a car driving up the driveway.
Danielle sighed. She sat back down on the armchair.
Greyson entered the house and switched on the light.
“Oh!” Greyson cried startled to see Danielle. “What are you doing up so late?”
“I was waiting for you.”
“Why?” Greyson asked, hanging his keys on the rack. “I thought I told you not to. I have lots of work to be done, of course I would be home late.”
“It’s not that. We have to talk.”
“Oh come on Danny, now? Cant this wait until tomorrow?”
Danielle shook her head. “No, tomorrow you would go to the studio again. I never have any time to talk to you.”
“But I'm tired.” Greyson went to the kitchen and poured a carton of milk into a glass. Danielle followed him from behind.
“But you have to listen. It’s Ronan.”
“What’s wrong with him? Is he sick? Take him to a freakin’ hospital then.” Greyson said angrily.
“He hates you. Don’t you see?” Danielle asked.
“What? I should buy him a teddy bear instead?”
“No! Don’t you understand?” Danielle started to get angry.
“What I understand now, is that I'm tired, and hungry, and now you’re bugging me over that little kid’s problems about a teddy bear.”
“He is your son for Pete’s sake! Where is your humanity?” Danielle screamed.
“Sheesh, no need for that.” Greyson said, gulping down the glass of milk.
“Greyson, you are never spending any time with him. NEVER! What do you think he would feel?”
“Relax, he’s just a kid, he has no feelings.” Greyson said, popping popcorns into his mouth.
“How do you even know that? You never even talked to him.”
“Look bimbo,” Greyson cut Danielle's word.” I'm tired, and I want to go to sleep. We’ll take about this later okay.”
Greyson started to walk upstairs.
“Greyson, this talk isn’t over yet! Greyson!” Danielle screamed. “Greyson!”
Greyson ignored her.
“Ugh! I hate you!” Danielle cried.
She sat down on the kitchen floor and started to cry. Greyson has never made her cry on purpose before.
What has happened to you Greyson? I feel like I don’t know you anymore .Danielle sobbed.
