Lily and James Forever

The Train Part 1

                                                     This is my second chapter!! I hope you like it!!

 

                                                                                         James POV

"Bye mum! Bye dad!" I yelled to my crying parents as I got on the train to Hogwarts. I got in a compartment with my fellow marauders. I took a seat between Remus and Sirius. "They made you head boy?" Remus stated as I sat down. "What's so surprising?" I  questioned Remus. "You're the most irresponsible person in this school!" Sirius was pretending to look hurt, "what about me?" 

"Sorry mate, James is more irresponsible." Remus replied, putting a hand on his shoulder, pretending to look sorry.  Suddenly we all burst into laughter (all except Peter, who didn't know what was going on).  Soon, the lady pushing the sweets trolley came and we bought basically the whole cart. "Prongs, don't you have a prefect meeting to go to?" I cursed mentally, I had completely forgot. I ran out of the compartment and raced to the prefects compartment. When I went in I saw a very annoyed (and shocked) Lily Evans. "Sorry I'm late." 

"You're two minutes late." Lily comments and walks toward the waiting prefects. I kind of wish that she would blow up on me. I know I deserve it. "Hello I'm Lily Evans and this is James Potter and we are the head girl and boy. As you know there are responsibilities to being a prefect..."

After that I stopped listening. I was lost in my thoughts. Why can't Lily like me? Why does she hate me?  I knew the answer to both these questions of course. Suddenly I saw Remus. I forgot he was a prefect. "Hi moony!" I said to Remus. He gave me a slight wave. I had interrupted Lily. Oops. "Potter?" Lily was looking at  me like I was crazy. "What?" I asked, confused. 

"You interrupted me." She was mad. "Sorry." I mumbled. "It's time to go anyway." I was astonished. I was late for the meeting and I interrupted Lily and I didn't get yelled at. Yet.     

                                                                                            Lily's POV  

                                                                             

"Bye mum! Bye dad! I love you!" I yelled to my crying parents as I got on the train to Hogwarts. I got in a compartment with my two best friends: Alice and Marlene. "Hi Lily!" Alice yelled as I sat down, "I missed you so much!" And she gave a rib breaking hug. "I don't think giving Lily a broken bone is the best welcome." Marlene said sarcastically. "I missed you too, Mar." I said jokingly, "How was your summer?" 

"alright, how was yours? I see they made you head girl." 

"Are you excited?" 

"Of course I'm excited! That reminds me, I have to go to the prefect meeting!" I stand up and walk to the prefect compartment. The head boy isn't here yet. Who is the head boy? I'm two minutes early so he's not late yet. The prefects start coming in. "Hi Remus."

"Hello Lily." 

The head boy is one minute late. What if he doesn't come at all? That would be crazy. He has to come, doesn't  he? One minute later James Potter comes in and says "sorry I'm late." James? They made him head boy? He's the most irresponsible boy in the school! I walk toward the waiting prefects. It would be irresponsible to yell at him in front of the prefects. I introduce me and James. I go on with my speech while James is just standing there looking dazed. Towards the end of my speech James interrupts me "Hi moony!" I know he's talking to Remus because they all have nicknames. By they, I mean the marauders. That's what James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew call themselves. "Potter?" 

"What?" He asked me as if he didn't know why I was mad. "You interrupted me."

"Sorry."

James Potter said sorry? "It's time to go anyway." I say and walk away amazed. Maybe he will change this year.
