Lily and James Forever

Emotional Rollercoaster

He sat on his bed and I sat next to him. Why did he look so nervous? "Lily, earlier when you said that I was your first kiss, I th-thought that you and Sniv-Snape..."

"No, we were just friends."

"Now please don't get mad at me, I know that he makes you upset, I just want to know why. I know you guys were friends and everything but after he called you a you-know-what..."

"Well he was my best friend. He was the one that introduced me to the magic world. And he stayed my friend even after we were sorted in different houses. Whenever his stupid death eater friends made fun of me he would yell at them. He was like a brother to me. And at first, when he called me that foul name when I was just trying to help him, I was really mad. But then I was upset because I missed him. But I know that I'll never forgive him." I had to keep taking deep breaths to stop the tears from pouring down my face.

James looked unsure what to do. "I'm sorry. Its not your fault. I'm just a big mess." That's when the waterworks started. "Lily...You have nothing to be sorry for." He hugged me and I hugged him back. I wanted to hold on and never let go. About five minutes later I was still hiccupping. I noticed that his white T-shirt had big black blotches on it. "I ruined your shirt." He looked at the blobs of black and chuckled. "How did you do that?"

"Oh I'm sorry! It was my make-up!"

"Lily don't be sorry. Its just a shirt. And if you think my shirt's a mess, you should see your face." I got up quickly and looked into the mirror. My face was a mess of red and black. My hair was very frizzy and sticking up in every direction. "Here" James was next to me, holding a napkin. I took it and started to wipe my face.

Soon my face was just red. "Lily, you know I didnt mean to upset you..."

"I know...Its not your fault."

"Come on, you're probably exhausted. You can sleep in my bed. I can sleep on the floor."

"You can sleep with me."

"OK. I'll be right there. I'm gonna take a shower. I won't be long." I laid down on the bed. Well that was a disaster. I really hope he is quick. About ten minutes later he came in and laid down next to me. He smelled quite good. I smiled at him. "Are you OK? First your crying your eyes out and then your smiling. You are an emotional rollercoaster." I laughed. "I know." I yawned. "I'm going to sleep now." He laughed. "Good night Lily."

"Good night James." I closed my eyes and drifted into a peaceful sleep with James by my side.
