Lily and James Forever

Detention

Hi! I just wanted to say thank you for all of you who voted on my story and continued reading it even when I took forever. So thank you and I love you all!!

"Lily! Lily, get up!" I heard a voice yell. "No! Five minutes!" I grabbed a pillow and threw it near the source of the voice. "Ha! Missed me!"

"Ugh! Leave me alone!" I shouted and buried my face in the pillow. "You're impossible! Get up! It's almost 8:30! Come on lazy bum!" I felt the blanket slipping off and I held on to it. "Stop it! I'm cold!"

"Too bad! Get up! Lily Evans get up now!"

"You're not the boss of me! Leave me alone!"

"Actually, I'm head boy. I could put you in detention!"

"We already have detention!" I heard him sigh. "Just please get up? You know it has already been five minutes since you asked."

"Fine!" I opened my eyes and sat up. "Happy now?" James smiled at me. "Yes. Now go get dressed!'' There was a knock on the door. James went to go get it. "Prongs what's taking you so long?" I could see Sirius at the door. "Well Padfoot, I've been busy." James said in an exasperated voice. "Wait, is that Lily Evans?"

"Does it matter?"

"Yes! Wait until I tell Marlene!"

"Padfoot, you know its not like that." Anger was boiling inside me. "You know I'm right here!" James and Sirius looked at me in surprise. "Evans, did you and James sleep together?" Sirius asked. "Its none of your business!" And I walked right past Sirius and went into my dormitory.

I grabbed the first clothes I saw and started getting dressed. I pulled my robes over my clothes and put my shoes on. I was about to walk out when I realized I forgot to do my hair. I raced back and brushed my hair. I pulled it into a ponytail and walked out. Wait my stuff! I ran back in and grabbed my things. I put my wand in my robes and walked out I hoped for the last time.

I saw James waiting at the bottom of the steps. "Lily, I'm sorry." I smiled. "You are forgiven. For now." He smiled back, "good to know. Shall we eat?"

"We shall." We walked to the great hall and took a seat at the Gryffindor table.

Later that night, 7:20 to be exact, me and James started heading to Mr. Filch's office. I wonder what we're going to have to do? We reached his office at 7:30 sharp. Mr. Filch came out looking sinister. "Oh you're in for it, you are."

"Wh-what are we doing?" He grinned an ugly grin. "Oh you'll see. Follow me." We followed him outside and we stopped at the little hut that belonged the the gamekeeper. He knocked on the door three times and out came a giant of a man with lots of shaggy black hair. "Wha dya wan?" He said in a scratchy voice. "These trouble makers are here for detention." I looked over at James and saw that he was grinning. "OK ya can leave em wit me." Filch left and the large man looked at us. "Alrigh James?"

"Yes. What about you?" James responded casually. "Oh I manage. Who's this lovely lady?" He looked at me. "Oh this is the lovely Lily Evans. Lily this is Hagrid." He stuck out one of his huge hands and I shook it. "Er, nice to meet you." I said rather nervously. "James talks bout ya all the time o course." He smiled at me. "He does?" James was glaring at Hagrid, "I think we'd better get on with detention. What are we doing?"

"Oh yeah. We'll be walkin Fang in the forest."

"The Forbidden Forest? We're not allowed to go in there! Dumbledore said so! It's dangerous! Who's Fang?"

"Dumbledore said I could take ya in ter the fores for yer detentions. Yer got nofin to worry bout wit me there. Fang's my dog."

"Oh. OK."

"Anyway, stay here while I get Fang." Hagrid left and I looked at James. "How do you know him?"

"We visit him all the time."

"We?"

"Me, Sirius, Remus and Peter."

"Right." Just then Hagrid came out with a big black dog next to him. "Ready?"

"As I'll ever be."

"Good. Follow me." He started walking into the forest. Me and James followed. I looked at James nervously. He took my hand and squeezed it. In a friendly way of course. I gave him a small smile as we went deeper into the forest.
