Being scared is a horrible feeling but being scared and disgusted, is just worse. Whilst the water is blue again, the black slime crawls on the sand towards us. Before Adam could shape shift into anything that could save us, he is held down into the ground. Jace tries kicking it, which is stupid of him because now his leg is stuck. I couldn’t find Skylar but I could hear her screams of help. Ivy is up a tree but the slime is creeping up behind her. It is bizarre that it just made a circle around me and every step I took it cleared away. Maybe I’m immune to it…but that couldn’t be possible. I remember my abilities, I am so beautiful I could make anyone and anything fall for me, that is unless they were strong enough to resist, all members of Phantoms could resist after a minute or so. My mind is just filled with confusion, I’m nearly not concentrated enough to think.

“Phantom’s trap…” I mumble. Everything has a weakness so I just had to find it. Physically, it’s all the same, maybe it had a mind. Ivy could read minds, that is pretty useful for this particular moment.

“Hey, Ivy! Does this thing have a mind?” I yell out while she is still in trouble.

“Duh. Every living thing has a mind. This thing is alive.” She replies like I’m stupid.

“Can you like, find out its weakness?”

“Sure, whatever.” Her grey eyes turn rainbow now, which I found awesome. “A liquid called Rielsmine?”

“Oooh! I have that!” Skylar yells out, muffled. I run to the ship, occasionally tripping.

As I get onto the ship, Skylar’s potions are all already spread out and labelled. Wow, she’s organised. Rielsmine is pure white but its vial is almost empty, I estimate there is about three drops left. I knew its weakness but not what to do with it. Ivy is being drowned now so I only had about two minutes to go back and ask her. With that time limit, I didn’t bother taking the stairs; I jump right off the ship and land in the shallow water with my stomach cutting against a skull. I didn’t have time to heal it so I let my shirt soak up the blood and my legs keep moving.

“What do I do with it?” Ivy is nearly sunken in.

“Don’t pour it on it…” She orders but she is now officially covered up. All I knew is to not pour Rielsmine on it, so what am I supposed to do? I let a drop spill on the sand but all it does is smoke. My eyes wonder through my surroundings but I just couldn’t think where I could put the second drop. I try on an oddly shaped rock that obviously still didn’t work. I had one option left that I could think of, the water. This is the very last drop of Rielsmine; I had only a flicker of hope left.

The final drop had a different effect with the water; it spread across metres while getting thicker. My pupils are dilating and my fingers are tingling. It rises up and moulds itself into a hand and crashes on the black slime. It looked like a battle that neither would win. Everyone is freed from the slime which had just turn do dust like other Phantom members who were defeated. Rielsmine disappeared as well though. Adam is still lying on the ground, coughing up what is left the black slime. Ivy is lifting herself up and stumbling over to Skylar who is panting heavily, while Jace is casually leaning on a tree, fully recovered, and just watching us. Skylar goes off to the ocean to clean her elegant lilac dress and Ivy comes over to Adam and I.

“Took you long enough.” She scoffs to me. “Is he okay?”

“I think so.” I look at his eyes as they open to show their enchanting colour.

“Thanks.” He clears his throat and I use what is left of my shirt that isn’t soaked in blood to wipe his face from the slime.

“You should go wash off, you too Ivy.” I say caringly.

“Speak for yourself,” Says Ivy as she walks off on her own.

I follow Adam so I could help him wash his shirt. He lifts it over his head, revealing his toned and muscular body that I found really attractive. Adam notices me checking him out and he smirks playfully. I let out a small giggle as I soak his shirt in the salty water. I grunt as the salt stings my wound and he looks down at me, noticing my vertical cut.

“Wait a second.” He turns into a bird and flies to the ship, holding a roll of bandage his beak. When he arrives and is back in his hybrid form he tells me to lift my shirt up.

“What?” I say, taking it the wrong way. “Oh. Right.” I pull my shirt up slightly and he starts wrapping it around my waist. That particular area of my body felt better but still painful. I could bear it though; I am hoping that the blood spreading in the seawater wouldn’t attract anything unnecessary. I see Ivy putting her leather jacket and telling off Jace again. He flirts with her but she continuously rejects him with violent remarks.

“Listen up! I think we should investigate the forest.” Skylar announces. Ivy nods and completely ignores Jace. We all move into the forest, which is full of unusually large bugs.

Adam swipes the bugs away from my face with his wet shirt. My eyes seriously are glued on his gorgeous body; it’s like an addiction.

“Uhh…I think you can put your shirt back on.” I smile weakly.

“Maybe I should.” He slips it over his head and uses his hands to keep the bugs out of our faces. The pain of the cut on my stomach is eventually coming back, every step I took it only got worse. I hold my hands over it but I finally reach my limit and fall on my knees. I groan and try to stand up again.

“Autumn… Don’t walk anymore.” He lifts me up on his back and gives me a ride through the hours of searching the forest.

The forest comes to a sudden end and Adam sets me down. I hear a freakish little chime coming from the doorway of the creepy house standing before me. Maybe it could be Phantom luring us to our deaths by the temptation of danger. Ivy warned us that whoevers in there is immune to her telepathy so she can’t tell if they’re in Phantom or the Top Ten.

My stomach is still bleeding and its slowly seeping through the tightly wrapped bandages. Skylar poured a little amount of liquid from one of her vials into her staff, which made a new outfit for me because she knew Adam, Ivy and Jace couldn’t stand the sight or smell of blood. Neither could I. As I get changed in the forest, I hear the door creak open and a mysterious growl. The wind chimes at the front door starts singing, without any wind controlling it. My heart starts racing and I close my fists tightly. I guess it is haunted.
