Chapter 9 : Cleaning, Organizing, & Accidents

  Your POV

  "And this is your room. Hurry and get settled, Captain wishes to see you after you get settled. Which you need to meet him in about......3 minutes approximately actually." Eren's face turns to complete horror after hearing the news. He sets his bag down on his bed and races out of the room giving a frantic yell of 'See you later!' to me on the way out.

  'That kid as a lot to learn if he wants to survive in the Special Operations Squad.' I give chuckle at the unknown events that will occur in the near future. I walk back to the mess hall and fix a pot of black tea like this morning; so that Levi has something to drink while working and me also while I do my chores. I set the pot on a tray along with two cups, some sugar, honey, and some napkins. With the tray on both of my hands I start my way towards the Corporals office and wait patiently still hearing voices inside. Not to long later, Eren exits and gives a sigh of relief. 

  "You seem relieved. Did he let you off with a warning about being almost late?" Eren jumps a little before realizing it was me. "Oh, (Y/n), it's just you. And yeah, he did. I thought I was going to get my head chopped off. I'm been so paranoid ever since the...uh...trial ya' know." 

  "Yeah, but that was the only way, at the time when in a quick decision making moment I suppose, to get you safe and with us instead of on a sugary table with needles and knives cutting you opening or the possibility of your head not on your body. Anyways, when I first got here, he never really that cold to me. He might of had that glare, but not so much rude, a bit sarcastic and cranky, but never rude. To me anyways. I hold a lot of respect for him." I can feel my face heating up a bit just talking about him.

  "What?!Really?! You must be special."

  "Not really. There's really nothing special about me."

  "Ok, whatever you say (Y/N). I've got to go do these chores though now. I'll catch you later." He races off as I laugh at his enthusiasm. He's got it for sure. I knock on the door of Levi's office and wait for a response. "Name and Business."

  "Cadet Moon, sir. I've come for my chores and brought you tea." I hear footsteps come near the door, when it opens he moves out of the way for me to get by. I set the tray on the desk out of his way and set his cup down and prepare his tea. "You're helping me with my paperwork before doing your usual chores Cadet." "Yes sir."

  I sit down in front of him in a open chair and grab a stack of paperwork and a pen and start the work with silence lingering in the air and just the sounds of pens scribbling on paper.

  "Sir, my respect has grown further than before. You must feel exhausted once you finished this before when you did it by yourself." I massaged my hurting hand in the process. He stays quiet while sipping on his tea. The kettle was almost empty from our thirst since we were working hard. I get up and grab the needed supplies to do my regular chores and start with the book shelves like always. I set up the step stool and start to dust off the books and shelves one at a time. When I finished with one, I descended down only to realize I left the duster up on the top shelf. I go back to retrieve it, only to have the stool give out from under me causing me to fall backwards.

  Expecting a hard impact from the floor, instead I feel two strong arms wrap themselves around my waist. The momentum was greater than expected, causing me and my catcher to fall to the floor. Some events sometimes repeat themselves. I turn over to see my Corporal under me. Once again, my savior from pain, but worry flooded me, hoping he was okay.

  "Captain! Are you alright?!" Realizing I was straddling his waist my face becomes red as I try to subdue it. His arms were wrapped around me in a......protective manner? Wait, protective?

  "SHHORRTTYYY!!! Erwin needs us in his office for a important meeting and-WHHAAA! Shorty! I didn't know you was such a ladies man!" Hanji bursts through the door catching us in a awkward position.

Well this can't get anymore weirder. 

  Just as expected, when we both got up, we were dusting off any dirt when I was pushed into the captain. My arms wrap around his neck and his arms around my waist once more.

  "You two are just too CUTE!"

"HANJI!!" Levi and I say in unison.
