Chapter 31 : Leads?

Your POV

  "Maybe we should get the Queen's permission first? I mean we are invading personal space and that without a warrant..."

  "(Y/n), we're in the middle of an investigation on the an attempt of the Queen's life...I think she'll be alright if we do this." I nod and watch as he puts the combination in. When he opens the small door there is only one single item in there.

A small crystal? 

  I pick it up to examine and see that its a chakra crystal.

  "It's a chakra crystal...why would the queen hide this? Their very common, not that hard to require..."

  "Not sure, we'll have to question her about it once her injuries are healed." We shut the small door once more and seal it with the portrait again. We leave the room and head towards the great hall for some snack. Since we did miss breakfast and all. 

Levi's POV

  "(Y/n), you go on ahead. I'll meet up with you later and keep that crystal close to you alright."

  "Where are you going?"

  "I need to speak with Theo about something. Nothing big, just a question, don't worry about it. I'll see you later." I give her a kiss on her head and turn back and make my way to the infirmary.

  'I have to tell her soon...'

  I walk into the infirmary to see everyone is out. Hanji and the Queen are asleep. Good... I make my way towards Theo and see he's reading a book, a child's book? I sit down beside him as he notices me and sets his book down along with his reading glasses.

  "Well, how may I help you Corporal?"

  "Theo, you don't have to call me that. You're the same rank practically as I. I've come to talk about...about the necklace...."

  "Ah, so you haven't told her yet have you? About what you truly can do."

  "No, I haven't even known about it that long either...that is until you had given me this information. How'd you know what it was? How did you even know I was this....Guardian?"

  "Well, when you're my age, you've seen and experience a lot of things. Learned a lot too. The necklace was given to me by my father, since my family was the most recent to receive the title, the Guardian must either give a heir and if they can't or have not, then the necklace will show you who will take the spot when the last Guardian has pasted. That's how it works. Levi, you are powerful and you love (Y/n). To a point where you'll even die for her....I can see it on your eyes. You truly love her...treat her well."

  "Tch, she was right when she said you know just about everything." He gives a chuckle and gives a slap to my shoulder making me flinch for a small moment.

  "Well...it's up to you to tell her. Just find the right moment to. You've seen how she is with me when I'm injured. And when I'm gone and passed you'll have to be there for her the most..."

  "Now don't talk like that you old dwarf. You're not dead yet and I'm not letting that happen for a long time." He only gives a smile. He grabs the chain around my neck and pulls the necklace out to see it.

  "It's like yin and yang, the sun and moon, life and death....two who can't live with the other....that how you two are and what you two will always be. It what true love is all about..."

  'Mhm...that was weird...' I continue my way towards the great hall and I meet Eren and Mikasa along the way and Armin is with them.
