Derek's P.O.V

I woke to the smell of bacon.  A huge smile spread across my face. Amy must be here. I thought to myself. She is the only one that would actually get up this early to cook breakfast for everyone. I didn't hear her come in last night and I usually hear her walk past my room and into my brother's. If that didn't wake me up then usually Danny 'welcoming' her home would. I shuddered at the memory of hearing them the last time Amy had to leave.

I looked at my phone and saw I had an hour and a half to get ready. So I quickly got dressed for school and went into the kitchen to visit and have some breakfast. I walked in on Danny and Amy making out right in front of the stove. I cleared my throat and they turned to look at me. I made a gagging face and sat down on a stool in front of the island.

Danny gave me a dirty look for interrupting. "You’re just jealous because you can't get any action like this." He said teasingly.

Amy gave him a slap on the chest and gave him a 'be nice' look and continued to cook. Danny took a seat next to me.

"Hey I can get all the action I want I just choose not to." I said matter of factly.

"Ha-ha-ha!" He laughed sarcastically. "Like from your eighteen year old girlfriend that doesn't even know how to dance? Mom told me she totally rejected your 'smooth' moves."

I glared at him. I couldn't believe Mom told him about what happened.

"Hey she probably has her reasons for denying my amazing charm!" I said while wiggling my eyebrows. Danny just rolled his eyes.

"Anyways, I'm taking her out on a date tonight." I said with a smile.

"Oh my god! She actually agreed to date you again! Man she must be desperate!" Danny said with fake shock.

"Daniel! You be nice to your brother!" Our mother scolded as her and Dad walked into the kitchen.

"Oh Amy you shouldn't have! This looks amazing." Mom squeaked.

"Oh yeah looks great." Dad said with a big smile while standing in between Danny and I. "Thank god someone is here to finally cook some good food." He said to us in a whisper.

Mom glared at him while he just smiled. Mom wasn't the best cook in the world so when someone cooked we all got extremely excited. We usually just fend for ourselves or order take out. We all loved when Danny and Amy stayed with us because Amy loved to cook.

"So where are you going to take this mystery made up girlfriend of yours?" Danny asked.

"I didn't make her up Dan, she is real. And I don't know yet. I already took her to Trista's." I said. I really had no idea what I was going to do tonight.

"Oh honey that's so sweet! I bet she loved that. When are we going to meet her?" Mom asked.

"Oh yeah you definitely need to bring her over before Aims and I leave Friday." Danny said.

"Come on guys! I barely know her. I'll be a bit of a creeper if I invite her over to meet the family right away. But maybe Thursday I'll invite her to dinner. Hopefully by then it won't be so creepy." I said jokingly.

"You should take her to the Aquarium! That would be really cool and you could take her to that burger joint for dinner. That place is amazing!" Amy piped in while giving us all plates of food.

We all quickly dug in. "That's a really good idea Aims! I'll for sure take her there. She just moved here so I bet she hasn't been there yet." I said. I looked at the clock and saw I had thirty minutes to get to school. I finished breakfast and got my things together.
