Liz's P.O.V
I woke up to the sun warming my closed eyes. Opening one eye lazily I looked over at my clock and saw it was almost seven in the morning. I sat up and moaned. I hated waking up early for school. I rubbed my eyes and noticed the house was quiet. Normally I would be grateful, but since Harvey has been staying over I never woke up in silence. I got up and made my way to the spare bedrooms to see if he maybe crashed in one of the beds.
I opened the door to the first bedroom and it was empty. I sighed and went to the second bedroom. I swear if he is playing a trick on me I will seriously hurt him. I hated being scared.
I opened the door and it was empty also. I felt a wave of worry hit my stomach. I really hope he is okay. With him going out all the time to meet clients I was worried that something might happen to him.
He is probably still with the gang or something. I know if I don't hear from him tonight I will go looking for him. I went back to my room got ready and headed to school.
When I arrived I saw Derek and Stacey sitting on the bench talking to each other. I noticed how they seemed slightly uncomfortable around each other. Derek kept rubbing the back of his neck and Stacey kept fidgeting and biting her nails. I couldn't help but wonder what was going on between them. As I made my way to the bench I felt hairs on the back of my neck rise and felt the overwhelming feeling again that I was being watched. I quickly bent down as though to tie my shoes.
I looked around and still saw nothing out of the ordinary. I wrinkled my eyebrows in frustration and stood back up. I really do feel like I'm going crazy. I made my way to the bench and they both looked at me with relieved expressions.
"Hey guys what's up?" I asked as I sat between them. Derek gave me a quick kiss to my temple and laced our fingers together.
"Oh not too much just waiting for your lazy ass to show up." Stacey said with a tense smile.
"Hey! I'm actually earlier than usual so you can cool it." I argued causing them to laugh.
"So I was thinking that Friday we're going to just ditch school and leave early in the morning. You boys can meet up with us after practice. We haven't been out there in years so the house is probably a mess." Stacey said.
"Skip school? Sounds amazing." I said nodding my head, I looked at Derek and he had a slight frown on his face. I nudged him slightly in the ribs and he looked at me. He had a strange look on his face and gave me a weak smile. I raised my eye brow in confusion and he just gave me a quick kiss on the lips and turned back to looking at the school.
I guess he will just tell me later. I looked back to Stacey and she too had a slight frown on her face.
"Okay guys what is up with you both?" I said slightly frustrated. They were both acting so out of character.
"Oh I'm just not looking forward to cleaning the house." She said quickly glancing around.
"Sucks you girls get to ditch on school and we men have to stay here and work. Typical!" Derek said while shaking his head. I just laughed at them and let it go. If they wanted me to know, they would tell me.
In the distance we heard the bell and made our way to the school. As we got to the doors Stacey went in first and Derek quickly grabbed me and pulled me in close. Some of the kids mumbled about us being in the way. He brought his lips passionately to mine. I felt my knees go weak as he pressed his body against mine deepening the kiss. My whole body was filled with tingles. I couldn't help but let my mind wonder to Mark and the first time we kissed in the kitchen. I remembered how his lips made my whole body feel like it was on fire. The kiss was so passionate it made me forget to breathe.
