Chapter 11, Lila’s Point of View
I touched my lips gently. The kiss was short and sweet but still amazing. It makes me want more but I know it’s wrong I’m almost his sister in away. Technically I just shared a kiss with my brother, which is weird and disturbing but this girl, Lila Matthews, is not me it’s an alias.
This means I have to find my brother; I just can’t sit here and pretend to be someone I’m not. They’re out there and I intend to find them if it’s the last thing I do. They may not even be looking for me, worst case scenario they’ve forgotten about me completely and their lives have continued as if I never was a person.
This thought brought tears to my eyes and I fought to keep them away. As I curled up in a ball on my bed and stared out the window. Those haunting woods still ruin lives and the second thing that I will do is save the rest of the girls and close that operation down.
I closed my eyes and tried to sleep. My door creaked again and I changed my position so I could see who it was. There stood Harvey again, he turned to leave and I sat up and startled him, obviously he thought I was sleeping.
“No don’t go,” I said without thinking. He gave a smirk.
“Do you want me to sleep with you again,” my face turned red and I could feel the blood rushing to my cheeks.
“Umm yes, actually I can’t sleep.” I could faintly make out him rolling his eyes before he walked towards my bed and sat down.
We both looked at each other again before he lied down and pulled me close to him. I guess it’s a very brotherly thing but anyone else would think we were cuddling. It’s actually pretty cold so what the heck and I cuddled into his side. One of his arms was wrapped around me in a protective manor well to me it was a protective manor.
“Better?” He asked dreamily.
“Much.” I closed my eyes and found it much easier to drift off to sleep. Harvey was playing with my hair but it made me feel safe and loved.
I knew it was morning sometime and I was in between that sleepy dream world and consciousness. I could hear birds outside and feel the warmth emanating from the sun that was shining in my window. Harvey’s strong arm was still wrapped around me and I felt comfortable. There was nothing that could really ruin this morning, I hope. But there was also the faint sound of someone holding back laughter; the parts that escaped were muffled but still there.
Harvey is fast asleep so it’s not him and that must mean there’s another person in the room. Ashton! My mind settled on the only person I that could possibly be interrupting my sleep. My eyes snapped open and I sat up with extraordinary speed.
I was so wrong, it wasn’t just Ashton. It was Ashton, Chad, Erin, and a camera phone all standing at the food of my bed laughing. My face must’ve been red again, I blush way to easily when I’m nervous or embarrassed.
“Have a good night’s sleep with my brother, please don’t tell me there’s a chance of me being an uncle,” Ashton groaned.
“N-nothing happened, why are you guys even in here?” I asked quietly.
“Well you weren’t up and school starts in ten minutes,” Erin said.
“Yeah but we didn’t expect to find this,” Chad interjected.
There was a yawn behind me and the bed moved. Harvey was waking up and Erin snapped another photo. Harvey sat up with me but his eyes were still closed.
