'It looks perfect already, Chlo'

'The lights at the bottom of the tree need to be adjusted- they don't look quite right there'

'Twas the day before Christmas, and Chloe had been fussing for hours over the decorations in the house. She wanted every bit of tinsel, every wreath, and every set of candles to appear as if they fulfilled a greater purpose in the grand feel of the house- as if they belonged there. The Bellas were due to come over in an hour, so the girl's stress levels were fairly high.

'Relax', Beca told her, putting comforting hands on her shoulders, 'You've done an amazing job'

The redhead took a deep breath in. 'Are you sure? I just want everything to be perfect for our first Christmas together'

'You always stress over things like this, and you shouldn't because everything you do always turns out to be seamless'

Chloe's body visibly relaxed. She turned around to give her girlfriend a hug, then whispered with a hint of excitement, 'I bought us onesies'

'Noooo', Beca groaned as her arms grew limp at her sides in disappointment.

'Wait until you see them'

Chloe dashed upstairs to retrieve the onesies, bounding back down the staircase with bags of glee and an outfit in each hand. She passed one to Beca, who reluctantly took it with a face that oozed the fact that she was seriously not impressed; she was even less impressed when she saw the design of it.

'You got me an elf onesie?', the brunette exclaimed, feeling touchy.

'What? I thought you'd look cute in it', Chloe smiled kindly.

'If I wear this, Chlo, I'm gonna get jokes about my height all evening'

Suddenly realising her mistake, Chloe carefully took the onesie from Beca's hands- she knew how sensitive her girlfriend could be about her height, as it was often the butt of the jokes made by the other Bellas.

'Sorry- we can swap. Here, you can have my reindeer one', she said, switching the garments.

'Thanks', replied Beca, 'Now they shouldn't say anything'

'Merry Christmas, Bellas!', Chloe called out to the group of girls flocking into her house with gifts.

'Merry Christmas, Ginge', Fat Amy said, giving her friend a big hug, 'Hey, Beca', she added when she spotted the brunette standing by the stairs, 'Shouldn't you be wearing the elf onesie?'

Chloe pulled back from their hug to give Amy a look of warning, opening her eyes wide and shaking her head slightly.

'Oh my god. I quit Christmas. I quit', Beca declared before crossing her arms and storming off into the lounge.

An hour or so after the Bellas had arrived and caught up with each other, they were sat at the dining table, being served by Beca. The table had extra chairs added to it, and much like the one at Beca's aunt's house, the spread was punctuated with festive napkins and glasses.

'Man, I can't wait to get this in my stomach', said Emily as her eyes became transfixed by the food being put on her plate. 'What's for dessert?', she asked, gazing up at chef Beca.

'Eat all of your veggies first, dude', the chef winked before returning to the kitchen momentarily.

On her way back into the dining room, the Bellas were given the green light to start eating, so eagerly, they all tucked in.

'Since when did you become a great cook, Beca?', Aubrey sighed in pleasure, clearly enjoying her meal.

Beca was about to answer the question, but was told by Chloe's rapidly waving hand not to say anything yet. Chloe was trying to swallow her food as quickly as possible whilst making numerous gestures with her hand. Then, when she finally swallowed, she joked with the utmost of pride:
