Chloe was absolutely exhausted. It had been a tough day at work, and all she wanted to do was sleep. However, she knew that the chores in the house needed to be done, so when she got home, she tidied the lounge, then started to wash the dishes. She hated washing dishes. Especially when she was tired.
Beca had also had a long day at work, and she too couldn't wait to get into bed and rest. She had been coming up with new mixes all day, and didn't even manage to get a break- she worked solidly for the whole nine hours. Her eyes were sore, and she had been stifling yawns since 12pm. Man, she couldn't wait to get into bed.

The redhead was busy scrubbing away at pots and pans, yawning after each one. She had been home for just over an hour.
KNOCK KNOCK
Beca came through the front door and into the kitchen, giving Chloe a peck on the cheek and a quick 'hey'. She dumped her handbag on the countertop, then stumbled her way into the lounge, slumping herself onto the sofa. Chloe removed her washing up gloves, then followed her. The DJ had her feet up on the sofa, and was looking pretty chilled out.
'Are you kidding me?', she said angrily towards Beca.
'What?', the brunette replied, confused as to what she had done.
'I've been doing the housework ever since I came home. Could you at least offer to help me do the dishes?'
'I've just got in the door, Chlo! I'm sitting down for five minutes'
'I wish I was sitting down, but no, I'm doing the housework as usual'
Beca rolled her eyes, 'Why don't you just ask me like a non-crazy person to help you out?'
The redhead took a deep breath in, then replied, 'Because I shouldn't have to ask you. You should want to do the housework'
'No one wants to do housework'
'You know what I mean! Fuck, Beca, I've had a hard day, and all I want is to sleep, but I'm still making an effort to keep the house tidy', Chloe said, voice wobbling at the end. The tiredness was getting to her.
'God, sorry. What happened to you? Jeez...', the brunette said under her breath, taking her feet off the sofa and sitting at the edge of the furniture with her elbows resting on her knees like a moody teenager.
'If you must know, a kid called me a jerk, so I had to drag his less-than-cooperative parents out of work so that we could have a meeting about it- it was the highlight of my day!', Chloe answered, clearly about to cry, 'Oh, I'm going to bed', she added, throwing the kitchen towel on the kitchen worktop as she passed through.
Jogging her way upstairs, the redhead went to her bedroom, got changed, then grabbed a book to read before curling up on the mattress and sobbing to herself- tired and overwhelmed. After a few minutes of silence, she heard what sounded like the clattering of dishes; Beca was doing the washing up for her.
----------------------------------------------
It had been an hour, and both Beca and Chloe were feeling guilty.
She's had a long day too, Chloe thought to herself as she turned a page of her book.
She does do like, all the chores, Beca considered as she finished editing a mix on her laptop.
The brunette decided to go upstairs to apologise with a cup of tea. She didn't really do apologies, but it never felt right if she had an argument with Chloe and didn't apologise.
Creaking ajar, the door of their bedroom gradually opened. Beca stared at her girlfriend.
She was gorgeous.
