Kelsey's P.O.V.

It's been a few days since the invitation had arrived - and, I'm still not sure if I can keep the act and hide the fact that I'm both jealous and envious and hurt all at the same time. I wish I was her but, I guess, this is fate.

I cannot deny the fact that I really do have feelings for him. But, of course, maybe he was just like that and I had just assumed too much that everything he does was because he likes me, too. I mean, wake up. I should have seen it - he doesn't - he's with her.

I feel bad for him though, after what Luke said. He has every right to know what she's doing behind his back. But, I don't want to be that girl who said it to stop the wedding of the guy she likes. Maybe they were just so in love with each other that it doesn't matter if she did cheated on him.

Maybe he really do love her...

"Kelsey?" Shawn said, snapping me back to reality. Shawn and I had been hanging out lately. I'd like to think that this was his way of winning me back. He's been such a gentleman these days and stuff. And, also, maybe this was my way of forgetting about Michael - since I've been trying to avoid him, giving him random excuses whenever he's asking to hang out with me. "Are you even listening to me?"

I looked at him, smiling.

"Sorry," I started. "I was just---"

"No, it's okay," he cut me off, smiling. "Anyway, so, they want me to release my next single next month. It's cool, right? And I'm really---"

I checked my phone.

"---excited about it---"

9:30 pm. Three new messages.

"---cause it means a lot to me---"

'Ashes (8:49 pm): Its almost 9. Where are you?' I read.

Whoopsie. Being an overprotective friend, Ashton made a deal to let me go out with Shawn if he brings me home by 9. They've been doing this since then and so far Shawn didn't miss one. Not until now, I'm thirty minutes late.

"---I wrote it for you---"

'Ashes (9:05 pm): DAMN IT, KELSEY! ITS 9:05! WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?! I SWEAR I'LL TEAR HIM LIMB BY LIMB IF HE TRIES TO DO SOMETHING TO YOU!'

"---I can't wait till you hear it. I... Kelsey---"

'Lukey (9:16 pm): Will you please at least call or message me? Ashton's being all daddy here and I'm pretty sure you're in big trouble, Missy.'

"---you're not listening to me!" Shawn whined. I looked up at him and saw him pouting at me.

"I was listening," I protested. "But the lads want me home now."

He looked at the watch on his wrist. "Oh shit! I forgot. We're super late!"

"I know," I giggled, nodding at him.

He paid for the bill and we hurried off outside to his car. I called Ashton as we make our way back home - and, seeing what Luke was talking about, I told him that we had already separated and I just had to go somewhere. Little white lies to calm him down and save Shawn from getting scolded by him.

"Are you sure?" Shawn asked before I can even close the door. I turned to face him. "It's late at night, you know. We will be in a lot of trouble, with Ash."

I told him to drop me off a couple of streets away from our place so I can walk home instead.

"I'll be fine, Shawn," I smiled.

"Well, okay," he sighed, giving up. "Just call me when you get home."

"I will," I said. I closed the door. "Thank you for today. I had fun."

"Me too," he grinned, starting the engine. I waved at him, as he drove off.

The moment he was out of sight, I started to head off. But just as I was about to turn around the corner, someone caught up with me.

His scent was familiar to me; something - someone - I've been longing for.

I looked at him, stopping.

"Michael?"

Ashton is cute. Sorry not sorry.
