Michael's P.O.V

Everything about her is different - different in the most amazing and wonderful way. Every time I'm with her, it felt different - better than when I'm with Alli.

"Just go, Michael," she hissed, opening the door. "Go before the lads wake up!"

"Please, just listen to me," I begged, reaching for her hand. "I don't care what they say. I'll call off the wedding. I'm not in love with her. She's the only one who wants the marriage. I want to be with you."

She sighed, shaking her head. "You don't understand, Michael."

"I do," I protested. "We can call off the wedding. We can runaway. I'm in love with you. Even  my demon. I can control it when I'm with you. I n---"

"Stop, Michael," she said, pulling her hand away and pushing me out of the room. "Go."

"Kelsey, please," I begged. My eyes are - well, I would say just sweating from my eyes but who am I kidding anyway.

"Just go," she said. And with one last look, she closed the door.

And that's what's bothering me the whole day. Why does it have to be so complicated? Why can't we be together? It just doesn't make sense.

"Maybe it's for the best, Michael," Calum said, patting me sympathetically on the shoulder, smiling at me.

"Yeah," I muttered. "I guess so."

"So," he said, changing the subject. "Tomorrow's the big day."

"About that," I said. My voice was duller. "I---"

"Don't," he warned, obviously reading my thoughts again. "You're doing great. You're able to control it."

"I don't know, Calum," I frowned. "I can but there are times that I'm losing my sane into it."

"Don't ask me to kill you," he said, looking me straight in the eyes. "Cause I can't."

"Calum," I started, nodding at his chest where I'm sure the dagger was hidden - somewhere inside his jacket. "Do it. When I can no longer control it. When I'm not myself anymore."

"I can't," he refused, just like the last time we had this conversation four years ago when I was leaving our world.

"I trust you, Calum," I said.
