I walk to Ashton's room and knock softly. I hear him telling me to come in.
"How'd it go?" I ask him.
"I have to say I cried. She told me some pretty hard stuff. Her biological dad left her, and she lived on the streets. Her mom was looking for a job, that's when she found her step dad. She never called him by step dad, because she said "I call him dad, because he's not a coward. He's a real man." He helped her reach to where she wanted to be man. They were so much alike. " Ashton stops to take a breather. "She was angry and mad, because she lost someone who cared so much for her. She said it sucks having two dads. One that was a coward and left a one year old on the streets. But then loose one that showed what a real man is, how to treat a woman, and help his kid out."
By the time he finishes talking, I'm crying so much. He brings me in for a hug.
"Talk to her, she needs it." He says patting my back.
