As the sun rose Kianri was actually happy for a split second before the realization set in. She may have lay there for five minutes before the crowd of chaos once again entered her room, cheering 'Happy Birthday'

She lifted her head off of the pillow, ears ringing from the volume, to see every occupant of the household around her. A wonderful start to a person who cared at all about turning one year older. Not so much for her, but again, the charade must continue.

"Calm down, remember, its only eight little hours." Sasha's voice sounded in her mind giving a small amount of relief.

"Oh thanks guys, that is so sweet of you. Ill go ahead and get dressed for the party now." Her voice may have been less than convincing but it worked well enough to get them out of the door. "Sasha, please stay with me as much as you can today. I need you by my side and in my head."

"Of course," she replied. "At least it is out in the open." She attempted to offer comfort.

As she stepped out the door she was greeted by the mass of people Ms. Kay had taken the liberty of inviting, but her eyes searched the crowd for the only two she invited.

"David! Hannah!" The only two humans with enough sense in their heads to be more than bearable. She would have liked to stick completely close to them but the introductions commenced.

After a long hour of 'Hi meet this person,' she was good a ready for the day to be over. She let out an exhausted sigh as she sat next to her friends.

"I'm sorry Kianri, I know you don't like this scene, itll be over soon enough." David attempted to comfort her.

"Kianri! Kianri!" She heard Ms. Kay searching for her.

"Oh no, hide me!" She shrunk into her chair. Perhaps she could hide from her guardians gaze.

"There you are, I have someone you might want to meet com... you know I can see you right?" A slightly irritated Ms. Kay tapped her foot.

"Well it was worth a try." Kianri rose dragging herself up for hopefully just one more meet and greet.

"Now let me find him again." Ms. Kay said as she struggled through the crowd. Kianri couldn't help herself from sighing and rolling her eyes at the thought of meeting yet another person she didn't know and forcing a smile like she liked him while finding a polite excuse to leave. "Here he is, Kianri this is Cade," A smiling Ms. Kay pointed. This man that the crowd formed around was pure sweet deliciousness. From his copper hair to those perfectly long, muscled legs she knew rested under his jeans.

"Hi," Was all she could muster up to respond in an effort to hide her instant fascination.

"Hey," His perfectly husky yet smooth voice awakened her every sense. "I'm new around here. Just moved in down the street."

She had never been tongue tied by a man in her life. She just couldn't help but play dark fantasies where he laid waiting for her on her silk sheets back at home. "Uh, good. Maybe I can show you around some time." Really? That's the best she could do?

"Looking forward to it." His cinnamon eyes had her transfixed as he spoke to her. She nodded signaling she knew he had said something and he once again disappeared into the crowd. She walked back to find her friends wondering what exactly had just happened.
