After the storm finally passed, Kianri returned home to Sasha. After telling her the story of what happened after she went back in the house, Sasha shared some exciting new of her own.

"We received a message from your father."

"What? What did he say?"

"He apologized for leaving you alone during the storm. He needs us back for The Talks."  This was very exciting news. The Talks were when all three kingdoms met at the home of the most successful. Her entire life that had been her father, yet The Talks were only held every half-century, she had forgotten all about them. All royal family that isn't in war must attend, and her father was all about rules. She would get to go home again, see her beloved sisters again.

"Tala will come for us tomorrow. We must be ready." Sasha couldn't hide her excitement either. The life of a normal housecat was not the life for a companion.

"We will be."  Kianri spent the night packing the few belongings she actually wished to take with her. Truthfully she missed all the things back home more.

The next morning was bright and beautiful. Everyone commented on how happy she looked to be going away for the holidays. She didn't care, she was going home. By noon Tala would be there to pick her up and take her to the nearest crossing point. She anxiously awaited the sound of the car horn that finally came.

She rushed out into the embrace of her oldest sister. he hadn't hugged her like that in years, they had grown apart the last decade or so. Sasha jumped in the car where no doubt Saline was waiting to greet her.

"Oh I have missed you sister," Tala exclaimed. Usually she was very formal always, even when addressing her sisters. Then again, who was watching in the human realm?

"Humans." Sasha sent her a reminder that the nosy humans were probably watching them, so they should leave soon. The sisters walked to the car and drove the short distance the a nearby field. For some reason the veil was thin their giving them the opportunity to cross it with the stone. Their was only one known relic to allow this ability and their kingdom had owned it the longest.

"I hate those things." Tala exclaimed slamming the door behind her. The four of them made there way to the middle of the field. It was acres of barren land, no one would see them out there, it was an ingenious find.

"They don't make much sense to me either, and they make me so sick with their fumes." Kianri agreed with her sister.

"Let us leave this polluted world and get you back to where you belong." Tala said as she withdrew the ruby, colored gem. It was nice to know she had at least one sister by her side in this now.

Emerging right outside the door to the greeting room of course, she watched as Tala transformed back into the future queen she was. It was good while it lasted Kianri supposed. As the two princesses entered their home once again they were greeted by the majesty of it. The walls were embedded with jewels of all shapes and colors, showing to the wealth of their kingdom. This had always been Kianri's favorite room in any kingdom. Standing in front of them their father and little sister, Lily, awaited them.

"Welcome, my children." Her father's smile ran from ear to ear, strange since he could have brought her back anytime and the only reason he gone was because of him. Perhaps he would not make her return now, but then she would never she Cade again. She did not let this though affect her now, she needed to put her best face forward.

After the big dinner that was held to welcome them Kianri finally dragged herself to the room. As she opened the double doors to her room she couldn't help but smile. It seemed a lifetime since she had seen her four poster bed , perfectly made silk sheets. The space was a comfort to her, here she could breathe. At home with her people, she finally felt like what she was. Sasha's happiness overflowed in her as well, it was one of the best moments of their seventy years together.

She enjoyed the room for a whole half an hour before she was summoned by her father, one thing she had not missed. He didn't like to be kept waiting so she left Sasha to her cat nap. He was in his study with two guards with him. Tala was also there, this seemed to be a family meeting

"Thank you for coming quickly," She didn't like the surprise in his voice as his Ginger eyes turned to her.

"I missed you too father." She used any excuse to interrupt him, it was a reflex by now.

"As to the purpose," he raised his voice commanding everyone's attention again. "We all know the other king's will be arriving tomorrow. I want my daughters guarded during this time."

"What! No." She balked at the idea of someone following her every move. She knew her father just wanted to tack on a babysitter anyway he knew how.

"You will do as I say." He made no room for argument, fire burning in those just so gentle eyes. The slight strain that now showed on his face after two- hundred years, showing a little more.

"Now, Tala you will have Kaden, he gestured to a sandy haired distinguished warrior to his left. "Kianri, You will have Jace." He gestured to the dark haired warrior on his right. He was considerably younger than the other, great she gets stuck with a novice.

Jace came around from behind the desk taking a place next to her. With nothing more to say to her father she stormed out, her new shadow trailing behind her.
