Kianri awoke with the sun the following morning.  Cade still lay next to her, a look of serene peace on his face. She had never seen him like this, he had always been intense. Wrapping a blanket around her naked self she walked out into the living room. His decorating habits were not so odd now, now that  he knew he was one of her people. She feared the reason he was here, what was his mission, was it just to kill her? And now that he had chosen not to do so what would happen to him?

She heard a ruthless scratching from the other side of the guest room door, she decided to leave it be and let Cade deal with his own companion. Especially seeing the vicious nature he treated her with last time they met. Walking outside onto the back porch she took in the peacefulness of the day. The eye of the storm was passing over them, she sensed it would be another hour or so before the second half of the storm hit them. Looking out she was glad to see a familiar face approaching her. Sasha, her ever faithful companion had given Ms. Kay the slip, determined to be with Kianri no matter what.

"I know what you did."  Companion or not she seemed just as furious as Felix was locked in that room.

"Was it the sheet wrapped around my naked body a give away, I don't wish to hide anything from you Sasha."  She thought back to the black and white feline now perched in the railing beside her.

"Actually I felt it."  Sounding even more perturbed than before she revealed her information.

"What! From all the way at the house."  Even with the closest companions didn't usually feel their master sexual exploits, especially from that far away.

"Yes, he made you very happy."  The statement had no feeling behind it leaving Kianri unsure of her companions next move. Each companion always had the option to leave he master, and vise versa, even though neither would do well after the fact. Given the pile of crap Kianri just got the two of them in she ha every right to leave her and go home to her life.

"I would never leave you alone in this." Sasha calmed her fears. She must have sensed her trepidation.

"I love you. Now go home Ms. Kay must be worried."

"Agh she hovers constantly wishing me to be in her lap now that your gone." She complained. "She says she does not want me to feel alone since your gone."  Nevertheless, Sasha jumped from the railing heading off towards the house.

"Thank you my friend." She called out to her before turning back to enter the house.

Cade must have awoken while she was out, because the ungodly noises coming from the bedroom had stopped and the door was now open. She stayed in guard for the vicious animal even though she heard Cade speaking with someone in his room. It was mist definitely to beg his own companion for the understanding Sasha gave her willingly. Seeing as her clothes were in that room she searched the now unoccupied room for any material to cover herself with.

She was pleased to find an entire room through the door, their was a dresser full of clothes, another four poster bed, all the luxuries fit for a princess. This must have been the room Cade intended for her to stay in the previous night.

"Do you like it?" She heard Cade's rugged tone from behind her just as she pulled on some clothes. She turned, flipping her hair sensually giving him a good morning smile.

"I love it." She smiled up at him, he was the picture of sexiness. Shirtless, showing off his extreme fitness, a pair of jeans loosely pulled over his hips. His cinnamon eyes swimming with the sensual memories of the night before. "I hope everything is ok with Felix."

"Oh don't worry about him," He waved a hand uncaring. "He's like this all the time, but he's my companion and he will understand."

"Yes, Sasha did as well." She smiled again at the ease in which their relationship was mended.

"Is that your companions name? I've seen her, the black and white female always trailing behind you on your walks. She is absolutely beautiful." His eyes shined as he spoke to her.

"Thanks, I'll tell her you said so. That should make her like you more."

"Oh? She doesn't? Can't say I'm surprised." He chuckled at the thought.

"I should say so, seeing as the way Felix reacted to me."

"Sorry about that again." His eyes hit the floor in shame that he was a part of her being injured.

"Oh please,  " She waved her hand to the side. "He has a right to look out for your best well being. I think both of us would agree that we have taken a turn for the difficult."

"Yes, but I will keep you safe." He vowed to her.

"Funny that you would say that seeing as you were obviously sent here to kill me." Now silence filled the space between them.

"Not necessarily." He whispered.

"Then what then? Why were you sent here?" She finally faced him full on.

"To learn, I guess." He stumbled out at first.

"You guess?" She was confused even further.

"I was sent to learn, yes, to watch." He finally admitted.

"By who?" She asked her words heavy with emotion.

"You know I can not say." His voice now tortured almost pleading her to drop it. He stepped closer to her, filling her nose with his manly scent again. Still intoxicated by him she still interrogated him.

"Come here my beauty," he whispered into her ear no doubt trying to change the subject, but she would not allow it. he could never trust him if he did not give up this information. Tearing herself away from him she looked deep into his eyes. Her heart breaking as she saw there was no way he was going to tell her. She played right into his little game for all she knew he still planned on killing her.

"You will not tell me." A statement ending the precious moments they shared together.

"I can not." He repeated still pleading with her to understand him.

"Don't you dare say that again." She warned him.

"Then don't ask again." He whispered.

"Leave," She rushed out hearing the rain begin to fall on the roof. The storm that made him so irresistible to her earlier was returning. They had another good day to be stuck together and she was determined to spend in locked in this room, alone.

He obeyed her, respecting the way the storm affected her. Once the door was closed between them they both spent a moment on the other side, not wanting to let go of the connection they shared.
