Jace followed her silently the long way back to her room, before she entered she halted at the door. He nearly ran into the back of her, but caught himself at the very last chance. For a brief moment she smelled his stormy scent and forgot why she was here. Hungrily her eyes scrutinized his every detail, finding no flaw.

"Yes, Princess?" He asked still awaiting her words.

"I've always taken care of myself." She stuttered out at first, regaining her composure.

"I understand, princess."

"I just mean there's no need to be on my heels this entire week ok?"

"I understand, princess." He repeated. She could tell this week was going to be a long one, especially when he followed her right through her door.

"What do you think you are doing?" She snapped up at him.

He took a deep breathe. "The king said you would be a handful, don't pretend that you do not know what a protection detail is." He showed her a sly smile. " That is exactly why I volunteered to be your guard in particular.

She didn't know what to say to his words, but she knew how they made her feel. They made her feel almost, wanted, a rarity amongst her own people.

"Good to see your are fine." Sasha came in from her door to the side.

"You call this fine?" Kianri gestured to their new guest who had already taken up a post at the door. All her companion did was chuckle. She looked at her duty sheet which had been placed on her bed, trying to ignore Jace's presence. "It says here that I have to give the welcoming speech! What kind of shit is that!"  Her father knew how awful she was at speech, how much she hated doing them.

"You're going to have to start working on it now , if you hope to complete it by tomorrow." Sasha poured salt in her wound. Yet, her companion stayed with her, assisting her until she had to retire three hours in. "You should get some rest too." She advised before leaving.

The next hour passed painfully slow, it didn't help that all of her senses were on overdrive now that Jace was watching her and had been ever since Sasha left. She let out a frustrated cry after one more hour and one more sentence.

"Princess." The first word Jace said since entering her room hours earlier.

"Yes Jace what it is?" She looked up from her work, letting her eyes adjust to his beautiful form.

"If I may." He walked over to her smoothly. "I may be of some help here."

"Ok then," He couldn't do as much damage as she already had. She cleared a space amongst the many papers she had scattered about. They worked long into the night, going over the proper words and what to say. It was nearly dawn when they finished. Checking over their work, she could feel Jace's sweet breathe on her neck. "Oh look here." He continued, pointing to a place on the paper. "You need to learn the pronunciation of this word, if you get that wrong war may start right then and there."

As he continued giving pointers he tenderly brushed the hair off the back of her neck. "Good," He whispered into her ear. "That should do beauty." He pushed the paper out of her hands. He was so close to her, the sexual intensity vibrated throughout the both of them. As they were cleaning up she couldn't help but notice him brushing her every few moments.

"I need to change into my night clothes." She announced, hopefully narrowing down his intentions. He respectfully rose and turned around to give her a modicum of privacy. She searched through her wardrobe determined to find the least arousing thing in there. Unfortunately, that wasn't much of a selection. She ended up choosing a smooth bright pink nightie that went all the way to the floor. It was a gift from Tala one year, and totally the future queen's style. She practiced her speech one more time before laying down to go to sleep.

She heard Jace moving in the room, he soft steps keeping her awake, his energy coursing through her own body. Soon he walked over to where she was, unable to fight his intentions any longer. "Asleep so soon princess?" He asked once again right next to her ear.

"I need my rest." She attempted to take Sasha's advice even though her body screamed for sex. not rest.

"Oh beauty," He ignored her words and kissed a fiery path up her neck. "It seems you need something else a little more." His husky voice filled her, arousing her. He slowly slid the blanket off of her as she sat up to face him. their eyes had no problem seeing each other in the dim lighting of the room. She knew she was about to be in even more trouble.
