Chapter Three

Voices In My Head

(Playlist – Voices [In My Head] by ARVFC )

I know it isn't what you would think of typically, but I promise you, there is something in here that everyone will enjoy! Thank you Jennifer and Katy!!

Kota's POV:

I looked down at the text as I sat in second period.

Vance: I spotted her. She is a piece of work. Gorgeous.

Me: Don't get tangled up with her. She's dangerous.

Vance: Having a bit of fun wouldn't hurt.

Me: She sleeps with everyone in the school. Not worth it.

Vance: I'd be careful. We'll keep an eye on her and keep her away from your team.

Me: Thanks.

The only reason we had agreed not to press charges was because of Sang's ghost status. It had gone against every grain in my body to do so, but to press charges would be opening a whole new can of worms that none of us were ready for.

"Mr. Lee? The answer please?"

I quickly scanned the board looking at the problem. The problem showed three resistors connected in a circuit with a battery. I hoped he was asking me to rank the energy dissipated by the three resistors during a given time interval. "E200Ω>E300Ω>E100Ω." The teacher smiled and continued to other students.

Me: Vance said they will keep tabs on Jade.

North: She caught us this morning. Trying to be all sweet to us.

Silas: Yeah, even talked to Sang.

Me: What?

North: Said she wanted to turn over a new leaf.

Owen: Come to the music room immediately North and Silas.

Me: What about Sang?

Owen: No need to worry.

I couldn't help but worry. What in the heck was she up to now? What angle was she working? With Vance and his dogs watching her, I could at least worry about the school and the problems here, as well as Sang.

Jade's POV:

Lunch time came and I honestly didn't want to stick around today. I headed out to the bleachers at the far side of the field, figuring I would take a couple of tokes and rest before heading back in and possibly ditching the rest of the day.

I took my time heading out. It gave me time to think. I hated times like this. I should have just stayed in the courtyard or the lunch room. No time to head back now. My well-manicured nails dug into my hands and my pace picked up as the memories I was all too well accustomed with, filled my head with doubts. The bleachers had too many students sitting in them today.

"Hey, Jade! Fancy coming and sitting on my lap? I've been a real good boy." Thomas waggled his eyebrows at me.

"Thomas, guys like you are why girls turn lesbian. You will never be good enough for me. Now, everyone, out. I am claiming the bleachers today." No one questioned me. They just packed up their lunch and headed back towards the school.
