My skin was glistening in the sunlight as I luge several injured people to the closest tent. Their groans and moans made my body shiver in fear. Bullet wounds and slashes from lightsabers litter their bodies, and I gulp. The First Order has attacked our planet several times, and will continue to do it until not a single soul survives.
As a young kid my parents tried to explain to me what the Resistance was, and what the First Order was. Apparently we were apart of the Resistance, or at least they were, I was just merely a product of them, unsure of what or who I was going to be. And our enemies were the First Order. Any man who wore all white body armor, or all black armor with a trailing cape were considered hostile, and since the day my parents were killed, I hold a grudge for the First Order.
I never understood why our planet was attacked, I like to think it's because of our luscious trees and our overwhelming supplies, but I feel there is a deeper, more hidden objective to their motives.
"Krista, are you listening to me? We need to prepare ourselves for the next attack," one of the old guards informs me. His hair was matted down, and dry blood crusts over the corner of his mouth. I nod in response and swipe away the beads of sweat forming on my forehead.
As the sun began to fade, and the vivid hues of reds and yellows blended with the twisted blacks and blues of the night, I start to head back to my bunk, hidden in the back. I pull down the blanket and lay on the stiff mattress. My body is cold, and I feel numb. My mind starts to wonder and I find myself thinking about the First Order once again. Who caused all this pain and suffering to my people? I'm going to kill them. Wait, would I even have the power to kill? I shake away the thought and stare outside through the shaved hole in the tents wall. As I watch, I see bright flashes in the sky and my heart begins to race. Not again, they just attacked a few hours ago... Except, this is a night attack..
I quickly jump up, prepared for battle, but as soon as I get up, flames ignite in front of me and my feet are frozen to the ground. My breath is lodged in my throat and for a moment I forget what I'm doing. I know I have to act quick or not even I will survive this mess. I grab the closest thing I have to a weapon, a large spear, and I clutch it tightly in my hand. I whip away the tents door flaps and rush out. My eyes begin to burn from the intoxicating flames, and I decide to run further from the fire to have a better look. Those same men in white armor trudged through the rumble, shooting any survivors, and in the distance was a tall, lean man. He watched every step the First Orders soldiers did, he must be their leader, I thought. His mask had three silver lines slicked across, almost giving his face a snout like figure. Before I had time to act, one of the soldiers called out, "No more survivors. "
The man in the black cape shook his head, "No, no. You're wrong! There was a girl here earlier. Their leader! Where is she? She isn't dead! I watched all of who was killed, and she was not one of them. Find the girl!" He screamed, "Now!" I knew by the way his distorted voice screamed, that he was angry and looking for me. Crap, they were looking for me. I begin to panic, running as fast as I can. While running I think of a small shack in the distance, at least a mile away from town. If I can just get there maybe I'll be safe.
As I run, I begin to feel safer and safer, and the shack begins to come into view. When I get there I look behind me to find no trace of any white armor, or a man in all black. I sigh, and sneak inside. The room is small, but has a small leather cot on the ground I sit down, holding my breath. Please be safe, please be safe. Once the sunlight began to grow into view relief began to spread throughout my body. As I sink down, closing my eyes, the sound of a nearby lightsaber swirls around me and I sit in fear. Why me? Why! And within seconds the wooden door separating me and the outside was shred to pieces.
The red light emitting from the saber made the hairs on my arm stand up and I back away in fear. Here is where i die.
"You," the black masked man spoke, "you're coming with me." And with that, he reaches his hand towards me and pulls me. I look in fear as I realize the man isn't touching me. Nothing is touching me! My body is being dragged by something, and I begin to squirm away. Instantly I regret it, because within seconds I come face to face with the man I currently fear most.
"Stop moving you annoying scum of a human or I will kill you." And with that I give up all hope of trying.
When the ship comes into view he looks towards a nearby solider, "You there stormtrooper, sedate her and have her chained up in the StarKiller as soon as we arrive. No damage must be done or prepare to face consequences. Understood?" He commands, my eyes bulging in fear.
"Understood sir Ren." And with that, everything goes black.
