A/N: I love Adam Driver soooo much.! Okay, that is all. *heart eye emoji*
When I wake up I lay in bed for a moment with my eyes shut. Maybe I can find a way to escape... Just thinking of it makes my heart race. I open my eyes to darkness, even though I thought I left the light on... I glance over and according to the clock, it's 5am. I groan, and stuff my pillow over my face. I decide to stand up, my warm feet coming in contact with the ice like metal. I shiver to the contact of cold air and I walk to the window, sitting in the black chair besides me. I see a few planets in the distance, but the only thing I could focus on was the blackness of the sky. I wipe my thumb over the glass and sigh. I miss home, I miss living a normal life. I miss my parents... What will I do?
Suddenly, a loud pounding was at my door, making me jump at least 3 feet into the air.
"Ms. Krista, Sir Kylo Ren would like to see you in his office," a stormtrooper called behind me. I stood up and look at him with a grim face and nod. I grab my worn out boots by the door and slip them on. The storm trooper wraps his gloved hands around my wrists and cuffs them. Of course.
He leads me down the same long hallway, except this time we stop at a door similar to mine. Instead of the stormtrooper typing in a code, he pounds on the door, which instantly lifts.
"Thank you Fn-8887, you may report back to your normal duties. " And with that, Kylo Ren leads me inside. I look around and see a wall full of screens monitoring the hallways, the cafeteria, the shipdock, training room, and wait. Is that my bedroom?! I scrunch my face in disgust and step back.
"What the hell?" I scoff, staring at the screen harder, "What kind of sicko are you?!"
He looks over at me, and I can tell he had a smug look behind that hideous mask of his, "Stupid human, I don't watch your every move. You're lucky we don't have a camera in your bathroom, so stop complaining!" I take a step back from him, yet he takes two steps closer.
"What do you want from me!?" I scream, tears burning my cheeks, I have never felt more violated and scared before in my life.
"I can sense your emotions. They're so strong, so powerful. You're sad, lonely, confused," he steps closer, our bodies nearly touching, "you need to capture those feelings and express them in a way where no one can hurt you again."
"You took everything away from me! My parents, my friends, my village, my home! You're nothing but a scum Darth Vader wannabe who deserves to rot in hell!" Instantly, I regretted every word. Well, I really meant all of it, I just knew the consequences were going to be severe. I watch as Kylo places his hand softly on my cheek, before pushing me back into the wall.
"Don't you EVER say that to me again! Do you understand me!? I am the most powerful man in the universe and you dare to challenge me!? I could tear you apart in every way imaginable. Keep this up and you'll end up like your dead parents!" He yells, pushing me further into the wall, my body molding into it. He drops his hand, as well as my body, and now I'm lying on the floor gasping for air.
"You may think I'm the bad guy here, but I'm not. I may be powerful, I may have the ability to destroy anyone and anything by one simple command. But with you, I want to help you." He spoke, staring at his monitors, his hands bawled up.
More tears are pouring from my eyes as he speaks, "Stop crying," he whispers, and it's almost too quiet for me to hear, "crying is for the weak. And I know you're not weak."
I watch as he trails to his mahogany desk in the corner, "Why do you wear that mask?" I ask, curiosity taking over as I wipe away what's left of my tears. He looks over at me, and just stares. Slowly, he lifts his hands and ejects the mask. Underneath, I see a man with long, black hair that hit his shoulders perfectly. His eyes were a dark brown, reminding me of my morning coffee, the white of his eyes were strained and red, as if he had been crying. A scar trailed down his forehead, and his lips were plump. If I had not know who he was, and what he was capable of, I'd call him beautiful.
He turns his head away, if ashamed of how he looks, some would even call him self-conscious. Out of an act of courage, I spoke. "I like you better without the mask."
He smiles a little, before standing up and grabbing his saber, the red light reflection throughout the room. He slams the beam into his monitors and throws it across the room before walking to me again, "Don't think that without a mask I'm not capable of doing the same things. I will destroy you, just watch." I cringe as he grabs my chin with his hand and pulls me closer. I look into his eyes, and behind the darkness of his pupils I see a fire. The flames are bright and powerful, yet it's tiny and vulnerable. Just one drop of water and it would be demolished. He may not see it, but he's delicate and emotional, just like I am. I'm so lost in his eyes that I don't even notice the strangely dressed storm trooper that walks in.
"Kylo Ren, I have been instructed to command you to assist the crew in our next raid." The trooper spoke. She was wearing shiny silver armor, showing she was of some importance.
Kylo stands up, grabs ahold of his mask, and places it back over his head, securing it tightly, "Right away Phasma." She walks out, leaving Kylo and I alone. He grabs ahold of my hand, lifting me to my feet.
"Where are we going?" I ask.
"You're not going anywhere. I'm taking you back to your room. We will talk later, I'm not done with you." I notice that his voice is so mangled and disgusting when he spoke with his mask, and I wish he'd take it off again. When we arrive, he escorts me and and looks around. "I suggest you get more sleep, I know you didn't have much last night."
I look at him confused, "I thought you weren't watching me?"
He looks over at me once again, "I wasn't, now get some rest. I'll be back in a few hours." I watch as he walks off, shutting the door behind him.
I don't know who this guy is, but I'm terrified, and I want to go home.
