"Kylo Ren is not dangerous, he is just misunderstood." I tell the Resistance.
"Don't be ridiculous Krista. Ben can not be saved." Leia disagrees.
"No, General, you do not understand him like I do!" I fight back.
I hear Maz speak in the background, "Leia, they're bonded now. With Krista there, the light will consume him."
Leia huffs in in confusion,"What is Maz saying?"
"It's nothing to worry about! I have this under control, I just need more time." I urge.
"We can not delay any further! You have 3 days to prove to us his innocence." She scowls.
"Leia, he's your son." I plead.
"No, he even said it himself. Ben is dead." The screen goes dark and I can't help my run my hands across my face. He can't just give up on me, he has to be good, he has to be.
"Knock knock," Kylo greets, removing his cloak.
"Hi," I sigh, leaning back in my chair.
"So, I spoke to Hux today." He tells me. I lift my brow up questionably, "They all think you're dead."
"But I'm not." I tell him.
"Well obviously. I just don't know what to do. I can't just take you out there and say, "sike she's actually still alive.""
"Maybe we don't have to. Let's just wait it out?" I ask. This will give us bonding time, so it'll be easier to convince him to be good again.
He sighs, "I just don't know."
"Do you miss her?" I ask bluntly.
"Who?"
"Your mom."
His face flashes with sadness, but quickly retreats back to his stern look,"No, of course I don't. She's against me."
I frown, "She misses you."
He stands up, "Whos side are you on Krista?"
"Yours Kylo, always yours. But are you on mine?" I retort.
"I always have been."
"Really? Because here you are on the dark side, the last place I thought you'd end up! The loving, caring, and thoughtful friend I once knew! The same boy who reminded me how great of an instructor Luke was! And how that everyone has good in them! You even told me about Vader... How he too can become good again."
His mouth is partially open, and he steps back,"He was just old, and was dying."
"Is that what this is gonna take to get to you, Kylo? For you to be old, and dying? Do you want to repeat your grandfathers past?" I shout, tears are springing from my eyes. Flashbacks whip past me. My mother telling me how Anakin killed Padme...
"What?"
"No one ever told you?" I whisper.
"Told me what?"
"Vader killed his wife, Kylo. He killed her because the darkness consumed him." I sob.
"Krista.."
"Please, Kylo!" I urge, "please don't do this! He wouldn't want you to, and neither would she."
"I can't!" He screams.
"Kylo," I whisper, "what are you so afraid of?"
I watch as the one I love collapses to the ground. He's finally broke...
He's tugging at his hair as tears rapidly fall down his cheeks.
I crouch down beside him and grab his hands, "You may think I'm against you, but I only want to be by your side. I've lost everyone but you. Please, Kylo, please."
He pushes away his tears and looks at me, "I'm scared, Krista."
"Of what?"
"I can't lose you, not after I just got you back."
I smile, "I'm not going anywhere. You're stuck with me." I chuckle. My expression goes serious again, "I promise, I won't leave you. Just at least see her, your mother."
"When?" He asks.
I look away.
"Krista?" He pesters.
I try and avoid eye contact.
"You've been working with them haven't you!?" He yells.
"No! Well, yes.... But not like you think! Please Kylo, just listen." I watch as he unclenches his jaw, and looks back at me. "While I was back on my home planet, I was working with them. I said I'd help, but I just told them that to get back to you. They're planning an attack in 3 days.."
"I'm not mad," he huffs.
"Yes you are, you don't have to lie to me."
"I'll talk to her," he looks back at me.
I raise my eyebrows in shock, "Really?"
"Yes."
"When?"
"Now."
I look at him, "Okay."
I grab ahold of my watch and project it onto the wall.
"This better be importan- Ben?" Leia answers.
"Hello Leia," he greets.
I watch as Leia's serious tone slips away. Her hands fly to her mouth in awe, "It's really you."
I stand beside Kylo, grasping his hand tightly, reassuring him that I'm still by his side.
"I'd like to ask you to stop the attack you are planning on three days." He informs her. He seems so lifeless when he talks to her.
"Ben, I can't. Unless this is all truly over." She softly tells him.
I watch as he looks at me, his eyes are sad, and his once familiar smile has faded to a frown. At the moment I can tell he is truly conflicted. Here he is, standing before his mother, unsure of who he is and what he wants. I give his hand a stroke with my thumb, reassuring that everything is okay.
"As far as I know," he mumbles, "there will be no conflict."
Leia raises her eyebrows in surprise, then looks over at me. While Kylo runs his hands through his hair and steps away she mouthes a quick thank you, and the call ends.
"I never want to do that again," he tells me, I pull him close and trail my fingers across the scar on his face.
"It's okay," I assure him. However, I'm still confused. Did he mean it? Is it all truly over?
He kisses my cheek, and snuggles into the crook of my neck. I close my eyes to grasp this moment and just stay in it a while. I allow all the tension slip away, and for now it's just him and I. No words need to be exchanged to be comfortable between one another. Just being in his arms is more than I could ever ask for.
While being next to him, I take a moment to reflect on my life these past few months. First, he was attacking my planet, then captured me. It was all such a mess, and I thought I would be killed. However, we overcame that, but he abandoned me. Within that time I learned many things, I am not evil, and neither is he. We're equal, two friends struggling to be normal in this mess. Luckily, we're figuring it out together, and I couldn't be happier. As I think, I slowly drift to sleep, Kylo beside me.

Thud.
I look up, alert.
Thud.
The door flings open.
"Kylo Ren," General Hux hisses, "You're a dead man."
A/N; I'm late, as always. I don't really have much of an excuse, but I am sorry :( -Autumn
