Amethyst was sitting on her bed, her hands clasped together on her lap, a frown set between her eyebrows. She was drowning in her thoughts, thinking about the decisions she made a couple of minutes earlier. How would she manage to train all these people? Of course they should have little experience with weapons, but not enough to fight in a battle, especially against witches. And if they lost, it would be her fault, and her people would hate her. So many persons will be dead, and all because of her, and her need for revenge. But it would also be their fault, because she gave them a choice, and they agreed. Amethyst groaned, and laid back on the covers. She closed her eyes and sighed deeply. She's so young, with no experience what-so-ever, and now she's supposed to rule over an entire kingdom. If the destruction of Lorelie would be her fault, she could not bear the loss. Everyone would be disappointed in her, even her dead parents no matter where they are now.

She was interrupted by a knock on her door.

"Come in." she said, getting up from the bed and standing on her feet, facing the door.

"Princess, I have brought some clothes for you." It was Aelix, holding some cloths in his hands.

"I have plenty of clothes."

"Yes I know princess, but you don't want to train in a dress now, would you?" He asked, one corner of his lips turning upwards.

Hearing no answer, Aelix continued.

"I went to the village and bought some stuff you might use. Here." He placed the clothes on her bed, waiting for her to check them out. They stood facing each other, no one saying a word. Aelix turned on his heels and started to head out. But before he could reach the door, he turned around, a smirk playing on his pretty lips.

"Before I forget, at training, you are no longer the princess but my student. You must follow my every command and do as I say. I will not tolerate excuses. If you really want to beat those witches, you have to train really hard. We do not have a lot of time." That being said, he left her room, closing the door behind him.

All this time, Amethyst was frowning, her fists clenching. She did not know what Aelix's deal was, but every time he was around, anger would surge through her. She made her way to the pieces of clothing Aelix bought for her. She held them in front of her, checking out the simplicity of the garments. It was a maroon tunic, with gold thread framing the collar and the area between her breasts. It was different from all the elegant dresses she wore, but she liked it very much. The tunic was paired with some black pants and black boots.

She hurriedly stepped out of her silky dress, and put on her new outfit. She walked to her vanity, checking her attire. It was no dress for sure, and it did not bring out her femininity but she felt free in it.

She sat at her vanity chair, braiding her hair so it was out of her face. Sure she was spoiled being a princess and didn't know how to do stuff herself, but styling her hair was something she really liked to do. She remembered her mother teaching her how to put her hair in a bun, how to braid it, her delicate hands brushing it, how she always smiled doing so, humming a song the princess didn't know the name of. She remembered the small wrinkles around her mother's blue eyes, how her pale skin was always glowing, and how she would bite her cheeks when she was concentrated. Her mother was probably the most person she cherished in her life.

Amethyst closed her eyes, a small tear escaping them, and rolling down her cheeks. She missed them. She missed her parents.

She was brought back to reality when there was a knock at her door. she quickly wiped her tear stained cheeks and stood up.

"Come in."

This time, it was Laial, dressed in the same attire as her. Amethyst managed a small smile. Laial stood by the door, fidgeting with her fingers. Amethyst's smile faded slightly.
