Several hours passed before Deitonin awoke, looking out the window to see the sun slipping under the horizon. Mae was curled up against him, still fast asleep.

He looked down at her and Scout, a quiet sigh escaping him. The Metalhead lifted its head and hissed at him.

Mae stirred by him, but didn't wake.

Deitonin frowned and he reached out, causing Scout to flinch back.

The Metalhead drew close to her protectively.

Deitonin carefully climbed off the couch without disturbing Mae, but this only seemed to make Scout more uneasy.

He watched him in suspiscion, making the Daemon look away.

He made a sound before curling up next to me.

Deitonin sighed heavily as he sat against the wall, watching Mae sleep. It wasn't long before she stirred, waking up. He raised his head from dozing, his ears perking at the sound of her heart beat.

Mae looked around the darkened room.

A low, yearning growl escaped him as his claws came out against his will. She looked to Deitonin, blinking away sleep.

He grinned evilly as he neared her.

This made her eyes widen, "Oh no..."

He stopped before her, placing his hands on either side of her.

Mae looked up at him; she wanted to move, but was frozen in place.

Deitonin continued to grin as he leaned forward, taking in her scent. He soon buried his face in her hair, ignoring the sensation of Scout biting his arm.

"Scout...stop that...!"

The Daemon lifted his arm and shook Scout off, feeling him land at the end of the bed. Mae looked to see Scout hiss before scampering away.

Deitonin hissed as he pulled away and looked at the violet and black fluid leaking from the his arm.

"Are you okay?"

He growled as he left her, climbing off the bed to look for the Metalhead.

"Dei, relax..." Mae said placeing a hand on his arm.

Deitonin looked down at her, narrowing his eyes at her hand.

She gave him a stern look, "Please don't do anything to hurt him, or me. Please...?"

He bowed his head, letting out a soft groan.

A smile formed on her lips, "There you go. Now, do you want to sit down with me?"

Deitonin shook his head before walking toward the bedroom window, looking out as he placed his hands on the glass.

"You want outside...?" Mae asked behind him.

Deitonin saw something large move in the water and groaned in hunger.

She paused, then sighed, "Fine, but so long as you don't cause too much trouble...plus I will be on the shore...it's always nice in the nighttime, and no one's around."

He looked back at her, a ghost of a smile crossing his face.

Mae gave him another stern look, "Try to be good, okay?"

Deitonin stalked past her, "Hnnnnng..."

"Dei..."

He looked back at her, furrowing his brows in confusion. She gave him a light smile, "Try not to get too messy. And no people, okay?"
