Deitonin soon made it back to the temple, where he saw Nathaniel sitting on the edge of the cliff.

Scout was gone, but the Kangarat was snuggled against him.

He looked up to see Deitonin approaching.

The Daemon folded his wings a bit and landed, being sure to keep the boy at a safe distance.

He stood up. "There was some guy here...he came in a jumping car."

Deitonin raised an eyebrow, "Really...? What did he look like?"

"Big guy...a lot of armor..." Nathaniel recalled.

Deitonin sighed, "Is he still around?"

"I don't know...I didn't want to meet him personally..."

He nodded, "I understand..."

He pet the Kangarat, looking out over the expanse of ocean.

Deitonin gently pat the boy on the head as he passed, "Have a good night, Nathaniel..."

"You too, Deitonin." he replied.

He smiled as he left.

Nathaniel sighed softly.

'I wonder why that man would come here...?' He thought.

Deitonin brought Mae to their room and laid her on the bed.

I shift onto my side and fell into a deep sleep.

The Daemon placed a kiss on her forehead, I'll be back soon...

He left her, going to the entrance to look for the 'jumping car' Nathaniel mentioned.

Behind the pillars was a nimble-looking car, with large suspension springs on the wheels.

Deitonin approached it, frowning.

It was the same one that the man from the garage had taken.

He growled, storming back inside to find this man.

Deitonin looked everywhere, but finally found the man roaming one of the upper levels.

He had a rifle at his side, and he was looking around.

Deitonin stepped forward, summoning a shard of Darkness, "What're you doing here?"

He turned, placing a hand on his rifle. His eyes narrowed at the sight of Deitonin.

The Daemon returned the glare.

He slowly pulled out his rifle.

"I suggest you leave me be," the man said in a deep, gruff voice, "before things get nasty."

Fitted black armor appeared on Deitonin, "No...you're the one who needs to leave..."

"I have every right to be here." he replies.

The Daemon crossed his arms, sighing.

The man turned and walked down the hall.

Deitonin followed, "Wait, I still don't know why you're here."

He turned. "You don't need to know."

He then walked away.

Deitonin narrowed his eyes and dispersed, following the man.

He walked down the hall, looking around before stopping at a sealed door.

Deitonin watched, not liking the look of the door.

He tapped it with a knuckle.

"Sealed tight..." he murmured.

The Daemon neared, hiding in the shadows even as his Darkness grew agitated.
