It was a dream, or at least that is what she thought it was. She was on the roof of a tall building and a mirror-like wall prevented her from seeing the other side. The night breeze combed through her hair, whispering in her ears and the soft sounds of the city at night rang in her ears. Despite wanting to rid of the sinking feeling in her chest by exploring the city, she couldn't find the exit. She hesitantly walked towards the mirror wall and brushed her fingers against the cool, smooth surface. Anger and self-pity suddenly crashed into her head like a wave. Clenching her hand into a fist, she slammed her hand into the mirror wall. The loud sounds of shattering was overwhelming and she stepped back, glass shards slashing her arms and cheeks and her back to the sky. she looked down at the busy street, surprised that the rod that stopped people from accidentally falling off had disappeared. She looked back up and saw the familiar face behind the shattered mirror wall. Eyes wide and taking the last fatal step, she fell. Wind whistled in her ears and she could see the figure mouthing her name, hand reaching out to her, but the rod reappeared to stop them from falling after. Eyes closed, she suddenly felt tried and slipped into a dreamless sleep. FOREVER.
