A tabby laid in a puddle of her own blood as a shadowy creature looked over her. A cat's body with a long thin muzzle that contained shard teeth.

Its claws laid itself at her fluffy throat. The tabby said nothing, two colored eyes only looked up, accepting death. It grinned and sank its claws in, clawing the throat viscously until a smallish white tom tacked it.

It snarled at charged, staying close to the tabby. It clasped its thin jaws around the white tom's neck and it shook. A cry of a dog stopped it from shaking the bleeding tom. Two dogs, one a german shepard and a raccoon-like wolf stood nearby. They raced towards the shadow, only to have the tom tossed into them. More cats and dogs appeared and tried to attack the creature.

It splits into more and more to combat. They made eerie screeches and demonic howls. Just as the tom got to the tabby, a shadow gripped his scuff and shook him violently. Suddenly there was a howl and everything was still. The shadow dropped the tom and looked at the tabby.

Pale blue glowing shards peaked out from the tabby's fur. The shadow approached it and the shards violently jerked out of the cat, piecing to together. It grins in victory and grabs the shape in its teeth...

And crushed it. The pieces fell apart like glass as it licked it jaws. The pieces turned grey and the shadow melted into a pale tabby. It looks sorrowfully at the german shepard before turning to glance at the tom and looked away. It watched as the grey room cracked white. Everything was falling apart and they were too late to fix it.
