"You of all people should know that Alice. I am what you are."
"I'm human. You're not."
"You're wrong"
"You're not human are you? What are you? A demon? A monster? What? A vampire, werewolf, wizard?" I was growing hysterical.
"No Alice. The bell is about to ring. I'll tell you in the library." With that he stalked off to his seat with the jocks. Immediately everyone started asking questions.
Everything around me started to get blurry and I thought I was going to pass out again but something caught my eye.
There he was. Ashton was the only thing in the room not blurry, but that's not what surprised me. Out of Ashton's back protruded two, very large, feathered wings. I got up go to him, expecting everyone could see this but everyone was frozen.
"Only you can see this my dear." There was my teacher, Mrs. Calavira, with wings on her back too. I gasped.
"You have the sight, rare among humans, but not Angels. I then realized that I was blurry too.
"So I'm a rare human?"
"You are extremely rare. You, my girl, are the only daughter of raziel."
My knees buckled. I blinked back tears. My dad had died when I was less than a year old, I didn't know who he was.
"Who is raziel?" I screamed, but the blurriness started to fade and her wings were disappearing, as well as Ashton's. I looked at the clock and realized no time had passed at all. As if it were frozen. I was sitting on my knees when everything returned to normal, and when I looked up I saw Ashton looking at my tear streaked face with obvious concern, and then yet again, the world went black.
