Guardian angel

Ashton looked me straight in the eye and it was like he was searching my soul, trying to see what response his news got. I stared straight back. I could feel the hot tears run down my face but I paid no attention. All my life, my father had been dead in my mind, but in reality he was alive. Alive. The word pulsed in my brain.

Ashton had gotten up and was waking around to the other side of the bed. He crawled under my sheets where He lightly put his arms around me, and when I didn't respond he held me tighter. Now I was right up against his chest. He smelled like dew and mint and mornings. It sounds weird but that's the only way I can describe it. He put his chin on my head and I curled up against him. Nothing made sense anymore. Ashton, my dad, Angels! This couldn't be real, but it was.

I stopped to think about my dad. In the dream he had wings. Was he an angel like Ashton? Did he know about me? All of these troubling thoughts swirled in my head like wind, driving me crazy. Finally I looked up at Ashton.
"Who is my dad Ashton? Why won't anyone tell me anything?"
"Shhhhh just relax Alice. Savor this moment of silence. I have a feeling we won't have very many more together." He said all of this with his eyes closed, a hint of a smile on his face. I wish I could have this moment forever. Just to stay here, in his arms, would be amazing. This all happened so quickly. Usually I wouldn't let a guy make physical contact but here I was, snuggled against Ashton's chest. It didn't feel like we were moving too fast, even though I knew we were. I felt like I belonged here, in the arms of my guardian angel. 

Sorry that this took so long and it's kinda crappy cause I rushed to finish it but the next ten chapters will Hopefully be out soon!!! Any comments on things you'd like to see would be very appreciated!!!!
