Your eyes burn, the blue light from the computer blinding you. Hours had passed as you sat here, researching everything possible about this unknown thing. Piles of old news papers, dating back almost 85 years, surrounded you. You were the last person here at the library, you had been sitting here since the morning, and still you stayed. After what you saw, or rather didn't see yesterday, you were hell bent and wasting no time.

"Ma'ma?" A voice rips your mind from the article on the screen, you look up to find the librarian beside you.

"We're closing, it's time to go now." He said, and you waved your hand dismissively before returning to the computer. "Yeah yeah, I just need a second."

"Ma'ma? It's time to go, now." He replied and you sighed. You got up and began gathering your things.

"Fine, but can I take these?" You asked, holding the stack of newspapers. You could see the reluctance in his face so you
pushed, "please? I really need to finish this report."

"I don't know-"

"Oh come on, this paper is from 1930, no one will notice it's gone." You say, slowly putting it in your bag, finally he nods and you smile. You say a quick thank you and goodbye, and leave.

The treck home was unnerving to say the least, now that it was confirmed the shadows do indeed bite, you found yourself looking over your shoulder a lot more. It was dark, very dark, the only light you had in between the street lights was the moon. You did however notice the way the moonlight lit up the rain as it fell, the ground glistening beneath you, it was definitely a sight to see. You pulled your jacket closer around you and hurried home.

Once home, you went straight up to your bedroom. Luckily your parents understood how common it was to go an entire day and night without seeing your teen. A simple explanation as to why you were at the library all day, and why you'd be home late was good enough for them. It was nearly 10 o'clock now, your parents must have just gone to bed. Once in your room, you sit on the floor and spread the newspapers around you. You had to find something, you had to find him.
