I pulled my luggage beside the door as my mum came over. She was almost to tears and she hugged me tightly, as if I will vanish into air. She pulled back a moment before hugging me again.
"Mum...you can let me go now..." I mentioned. Mum pulled back slowly as she chuckled sadly
"Oh yeah..." She brushed her tears and stared at me.
"Mum?"
"You know...I'm not willingly to give you away." She told me, crying again.
"Oh, mum. Stop crying." I helped her wiping her tears as mum sniffled.
"It's good to see you happy with Matsuo-kun." She told me.
"Mum, it's not like we're married yet." I grumbled, pouting.
Mum laughed "But one day, you will."
"Matsuo's dad hasn't agree on our marriage yet. What if he refuses?"
"Stop thinking negative. Think about positive. Think about when you have kids." She ruffled my hair before saying "Oh! And please give me grandchildren!" She remarked happily, clapping her hands once.
"Mum." I playfully hit her hand away from my hair. "We're not gonna do that yet." I blushed.
Then a car beep from outside interrupted our mother and daughter conversation. "The boy sounds impatient. Go go go! You don't wanna let your husband waiting for you." Mum urged me as she smiled.
"Mum, he is not my husband!" I whined at her.
As response, mum just rolled her eyes and waved. I waved her back, pulling the luggage along and stepping out of the house. I headed towards the car as Matsuo came out and helped me with the luggage. Then I got on the car before Matsuo did.

We got my luggage off the car as Mr. Hagiwara approached us with his welcoming smile. He embraced me all of the sudden as I slowly hugged him back. Matsuo, at the back watching us while grinning happily.
Mr. Hagiwara pulled back and said "From now on Rei-chan, you can call me father."
Father. The word that I hadn't hear a long time. My dad passed away when I was five. Because my dad had this unknown sickness that he can't avoid, the doctors weren't much of a help as they didn't know the cure. Therefore, my mum was next to him to accompany him before the last minute until he died.
Someone snapped their fingers in front of me as I broke out of trance from my memories. I looked at the person in front of me. Mr- I mean my father was watching me with mixed curiousity and concern. "C'mon. Let's go inside, father." I took father's arm as I lead him into the house.
Matsuo had placed my luggage somewhere. He now was resting in the living room while watching TV. When father and I went towards the living room, we all slumped back on the sofa.
Father began the conversation "Rei-chan, I've been thinking a lot about the marriage." I sat straight and listened carefully, apparently interested in the subject.
I nodded at him, motioning him to continue.
"Well..." He muttered slowly, before saying it out "I agreed."
"Agreed to what, dad?" Matsuo asked innocently.
"To your marriage. I've been so blind that I arranged the marriage for Akane and my son. Now I realized true love can happen anytime, anywhere and anyhow."
His words touched me. Inside, there was me wiping my happy tears.
Matsuo stood up and embraced his dad with a tight hug. "Thanks dad." He whispered as he released his dad.
His dad grinned "Shall we get prepare for the wedding?"

"Matsuo-kun." - I called for him lovingly - "Does this look good on me?" I asked as I twirled around when Matsuo approached.
His eyes widened at the view: I wore a white wedding dress, smilling sweetly to him while waiting for his answer. While he's still gaping at me, I called his name as he's being pulled away from his imagination world.
"O-oh, u-umm...you look stunning." He stuttered as he scratched the back of his head looking away to hide his blush.
Unluckily, I saw it all. I giggled as I made my way to him and kissed me on the cheek. "You're so cute." I pinched his cheek as his blush reddened than ever.
He cleared his throat to compose himself "How do I look?" Referring to the white tuxedo he's currently wearing.
"You look handsome as ever." I commented him straightforward hugging him.
Matsuo took my chin between his fingers "Thank you, my future bride." He smiled before leaning into me and I as well.
Only to be interrupted by his dad. "Slow down children. The wedding is just around the corner and you can do that after the wedding." Dad teased, coming out from the dressing room.
We pulled away awkwardly as my mum came out from the dressing room wearing a white dress, most looked like a wedding dress too.
"You look lovely, mum." I complimented, heading over to her.
"Oh thank you, honey. I know I can trust my instinct." My mum smiled at me.

Thus, in the blink of our eyes, a week had passed. The wedding had come. I sat in the vanity table as I stared myself in the mirror while the maids were doing their work on my hair and face. The day had come and I've to start planning my future, our future.
The time passed so quick and the wedding day was today. Although I looked myself in the mirror, clearly extremely calm but I am not. The maids excused themselves after they've finished, leaving me alone in the room. I glanced at the clock and there was only 10 minutes until the wedding.
I wanted to see Matsuo but they said we're not allowed to see each other until the wedding, otherwise we'll be living through a miserable life.
I sighed in frustration before grabbing my phone on the table and played a random game to kill the time.
10 minutes was killed, someone knocked the door disturbing me playing the game. I paused it and yelled "Yes?".
Someone opened the door, appearing to be my mum and came over to me. "Hi mum." I greeted happily.
"Hi, honey." She hugged me before saying "It's time for you to shine out there, honey."
I laughed a bit before falling into deep silence.
Mum noticed this and asked "What's wrong?" A frown had took over my mum's face.
"Nothing...I just-" - I took a deep breathe before letting it out - "I'm feeling that I'm not a good wife for him. I mean I think I'm not responsible enough and beautiful for him. What would th-"
Mum cut me off "Honey, it doesn't matter. The important is you're his future wife, and you are going to marry him today. He chose you, meaning that you are responsible and beautiful for him."
I nodded slightly. Then a voice said from outside "May the bride enter."
Mum pat my shoulder as I smiled to her. I slipped my arm into her as we headed out there shining.
