Chapter 22

I packed my things in the morning so I can get ready for this trip. In case you're wondering what I'm talking about. Let me explain...

Flashback

The following days, Matsuo got a lot of meetings to go lately but most of the meeting were in his office. But this time...

"What?" My eyes widened at Matsuo's must-need-me request.

"I need you to accompany me for this work trip." He demanded while looking serious.

"Why should I say 'yes' to you?"

"Because we must to bring our secretaries." What an excuse.

"We?"

"It's not only me and you going. There'll be at least 4 people from the other companies." He explained.

"Okay. I'll go with you."

"Really? Thank you thank you!" Matsuo quickly hugged me tightly like a child who had agreed to go hanging out by his mother.

"C-can't....breathe..." I spoke out as my face was getting redder from the lack of oxygen. Matsuo quickly pylled back and apologized sheepishly. After then, Matsuo explained the trip for me.

This trip was about meeting the working partners who had just accepted to cooperate together. We will be staying in a Ryokan(Inn) for two days or more. We will be doing many activities, you name it.

I am now heading outside with luggage after bidding goodbye to mum as I towards the expensive looking car. Matsuo was leaning against it with his hands stuffed in his pockets looking down on his shoes. Not to mention, he looked extremely handsome today. He looked up when he noticed my presence approaching him as he instantly smiled.

I stopped in front of him while he commented smirkingly "You look even prettier when you're wearing casual." I rolled my eyes at him "So are you just gonna stand there or are you gonna help me with this luggage?"

"Oh, sure, m'lady." He opened the truck, lifting my luggage with him and inside the truck. He closed again as he walked towards the door opening it for me like a loyal gentleman. "Why, thank you." I acted like a royal princess with a gentle smile before proceeding to go in.

After then Matsuo was inside the driver seat, he started the engine and pulled off.

Forty-five minutes later, we're here in a blink. We were parked in front of an inn, which it looked marvelous, expensively big. I noticed there were two cars was yet parked ahead of us. I assumed it's the working partners that we're going to meet. I stepped out from his car, walking to the back of the truck to retrieve my luggage. Both of us entered the inn and was instantly welcomed by the staffs.

This inn was designed in a Japanese traditional way house. We had to take off our shoes before placing our bare foot on the floor. An old lady, which I thought was the owner, came over and bowed 90°degree.

Unsure of what to do, Matsuo took the move first "We are here for the meeting." The old woman widened her eyes before bowed again "Come this way." She told us before leading the way. She took us to a room, which it seemed like the hall room. There was a long table in the middle of the room. Each side had chairs or cushions for the guests to sit. I noticed that there were two guys and two girls was sitting one of those chairs. The old woman left us alone as Matsuo went to sit near them. I followed along and sat next to him.

"We finally met!" One of the guy said, after then they were all into business conversation. It looked like I'm not the only one who was feeling awkward here. One of the girl  was uncomfortable in her seat while looking down. However, the other girl was eyeing everywhere around this room to occupy her boredom. When our eyes met, she gave me a big grin, which I returned her a smile.

Finally, she and I talked. First, we introduced ourselves, then talked about our lifes. We're going pretty well. She looked like the girl who is determined, cheerful and full of confidence. Whilst the other girl, didn't talk much. She looked like the opposite of the cheerful girl and would only answered 'yes' or 'no'. We're trying to get her into the conversation but I figured it's not gonna work. Well, at least she spoke with us.

We're not just gonna sit here and talk. Where's the fun of all that? So I asked permission from Matsuo to see if I can go out explore. Luckily, he said yes. I went to the girls after they asked as well. As we were walking, I noticed the shops sold some simple things and yet cute, it's like begging to buy them all. Well, I didn't buy them all. Just some of them for me and my mum as souvenirs.

A moments later, we came back before the sun goes down. But the most fun part was the hot spring! Who wouldn't love hot spring? The girls and I was planning to bathe in the hot spring. And so here we were changing in the girls'changing room.Wrapping a towel around my body before stepping in the hot spring room(I dont know wat its called•﹏•). The room was full of hot steam air that was came from the hot spring. I dipped myself into the water, letting the warm water surrounded me and soon was followed by the girls. I heard that hot spring can relieve your stress and tiredness, so I guessed it's true then.

Just relaxing~♪

"This is the best vacation I ever had!" Himeno, the cheerful girl exclaimed happily. "Yeah...I've never been to an inn before..." Auza, the rarely-talk girl said with her small voice yet still loud enough for us to hear.

"After this, how about we exchange our phone numbers?" I suggested, glancing the girls to see their reactions. "What a great idea, Rei-chan!" Himeno agreed with a big grin as Auza just nodded slightly, but I can still see the faint smile on her lips. "Soo~" Himeno trailed off before adding the words that made me grimaced "Do you have a relationship with Matsuo Hagiwara?"

"What? Why would you ask that?" I raised an eyebrow in my curious tone.

"Because...you guys seems like a couple."

"Pfft! There is no way I'm in relationship with that guy. Well, that was before but-"

"Before?" Now it's Himeno's turn to raise her an eyebrow at me.

"Errm..." Oops...I slipped! I chuckled nervously "You know what? Let's drop this subject and get out of the water. We can't stay too long and you know it." I got of the water before Himeno can protest about it. She and Auza exchanged glances, however Auza jist shrugged her shoulders before too either getting out of the water.
