As I walked in my house I noticed my mom was home early. That's strange because she works overtime.
"Hey, mom why are you home so early?"
"We'll I got laid off." She tells me crying. "What I'm I going to do. Jesus help me." Have I mentioned my mom stresses so much I feel bad. So bad that I want to quite school just to help her. "Hey mom don't worry about it I'll look in the newspaper for a little job for you and maybe I can find one also to help you." I suggested
"Oh God that's the last thing I want Alexandra. You need to finish high school."
"I know mom but I can help you in till perhaps I go to college."
"Perhaps? Your going missy!"
Mom I know but if I don't help you we're going to be living in the streets! Dad's not going to help us so somebody does. I say to myself. Reality is we're poor and I have to help out! "Mom?" I look at her. She looks straight at me with her watery eyes. "Yes, my love."
"Were going to get throw this. I'm going to help you. I don't care what you say. I'm big enough to help out. Okay. I love you. Let me take a shower. I'll come back to eat dinner."
"Okay. We'll talk about the job thing later." As I'm going up stairs I say okay. Before I got in the shower I put my hands on my face thinking about our economic situation. Then I see Dylan's number on my hand. I almost forgot to put it in the house phone. Which is the only phone we got or in another words all we can afford. So I put his phone on a sticking note on my mirror. As I put it on the mirror I catch myself smiling at the number. I barley no the guy, why do I feel so many emotions? Maybe it's because I have so much on my mind. The last thing I need is a boyfriend. Who I'm I kidding I still like Cameron after all. By the way Cameron has been my neighbor since we we're four. We grew up together. He's the nicest guy I know. In second grade this girl dropped me on the side walk. Cameron picked me up and defended me from the girl which now is his freaken girlfriend. Does he freaken remember she bullied me all threw elementary school why would he even look at her. Seems to me her spell worked on him. He's so deep in love with her that everytime we talk all he can talk about is 'Britnay is the love of my life, she's beautiful who I'm I kidding she's hottt!!!.....' And it goes on and on for days! Every time we talk all I can say is dumass she's slut! Get over her she's not worth your time. But at the same time I still want to be his friend. So I just never say nothing bad about their relationship at all, all I say to him is that I'm happy for him, which I'm not, and hope you the best.As I get out of the shower the phone rings I run down stairs "I got it!" As I get to the phone I'm so tried that I breathe in for just a second then answer. "Hey you want to come over and play some games on the Xbox with me bro?" Right away I knew it was Cameron. He treats more like his best bro. "Let me ask my mom first, wait a minute dude." Of course I know my mom would let me go over but I still ask her. "Yes darling go. If your going to spend the night just give me a call." Okay just to get something clear me and Cameron have been friends since we were four. After moving so much we eventually stayed back in our old home. Our mom's are best friends. Our dad's were to in till Cameron's dad found out my dad stoled millions from him before leaving.
I get back on the phone. "Cameron?"
"What up?"
"I'm on my way. I get to choose the game this time."
"I guess I can live with that. Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!" I started laughing threw the phone then ask him. "What happen?"
"I hit my fucken small toe on the door."
"Oh wow. Man up. Your a senior. Don't you say 'I'm all a man now, look at me' I'll be over any minute so bye."
"Shut up Alex" he said laughing. "Okay, bring food bye."As I walk into Cameron's house I see Nathan, Cameron's little brother. "Hey how's it going Alex?"
"Great." I lie. I just want to cry with all my problems. Our economic crisis!
"That's great. Night. If your spending the night you know where the blankets are."
"Okay. Thanks Nate." I tell him with a little smile. I walk in Cameron's room which apparently is nicley picked up, first time out of a year. "Alex!"
"What? Let me guess you can't play the level?"
"How did you know." He says as I sit next to him "Can you please pass it for me? You know I love you. Come on." I wish he meant that in the way I wanted him to mean it. "Fine." After a while laughing and playing we go down stair for some Lucky Charms. As we sit next to eachother. I notice that on the microwave it says 1:45 a.m. As Cameron looks at me with his beautiful eyes. "What do think of the new rich kid." I was lost in till I remembered ohhhhh Dylan. "Oh nothing much why?"
"Because I see how you guys looked at each other today. I know, I know it's the first day of school and you don't really know the dude. But there's love at first sight."
"Cameron! Stop being dumb. I was just being friendly to him. You know how much times I moved an I didn't have anyone. So I don't want him to feel the same."
"Oh okay. Don't get involved with the rich boy. Rich guys are used to having what they want. I don't think you want to get your heart broken by a fucken rich boy who cared more about his watch then you." Cameron seemed a little mad. It didn't really seem that Dylan was like that but I was still going to help him adjust to the school. "Says the one who's got dumped and heart broken a thousand times. And from the same chick. But thanks for the advice."
"Shut up." Cameron says laughing. After I washed our bowls. We head up stairs. I hate sleeping with Cameron because he's a freaken animal that doesn't stop moving. I love him and that why I put up with his crazy sleeping.
