"Hi," I mumbled.
"Hi Love," Harry replied smiling. My heart beat quickened at the sound of his voice.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to run you over," I sat up slowly still sore from the impact.
"It's all right I always have girls falling over me," he chuckled.
"My name's Abigail by the way."
"Abigail Judd?" He sat up so that I was now straddling his lap.
"The one and only. Who are you?" I asked jokingly.
"You don't know me? My name is Harry." He sounded surprised.
"Harry Malik?" I asked tapping my chin.
"No, Styles. You really don't know who I am do you?"
"I'm just kidding! Of course I do! You're like only the hottest guy ever!" I blurted then clapped my hand over my mouth when I realized I said that out loud.
"You think I'm hot?" He asked happily.
"Maybe," I pushed myself up as someone else came around the corner.
"Harry! Security! We have a break in!" He began yelling.
"Liam, it's okay! She didn't break in!" Liam helped Harry to stand up.
"Then who is she?"
"Abigail Judd meet Liam Payne. Liam meet Abigail."
"You know her?" He asked excitedly finally recognizing me.
"We just met."
"Cool! I love that movie you were just in."
"Thanks, I love your music."
"Harry! Liam! Break's over!" Laura's voice sounded from around the corner.
"Shit, I gotta go I'm not supposed to be here!" I ran to the Segway, pulled it off the ground, and hopped on.
"Wait, can I get your number?" Harry stepped in front of the Segway blocking my escape route.
"Here," I took my phone out of my back pocket and handed it to him, "put you number in and give it to Laura when you're done. Tell her you found it on set."
"Thanks, Love." Harry stepped out of the way and I raced forward.
"Bye!" I called back.
---
Nearly an hour later and I was back at my hotel suite with phone on hand. Harry had added his number to my contact list and even included a photo of himself making a funny face. I tapped his number and opened my message screen. I had no idea what to say. What do you say to Harry fricken Styles?
To: The Hottest Guy Ever (Harry)
Hey, um this is Harry Tomlinson right?
My phone binged a few seconds later indicating that Harry had texted back.
From: The Hottest Guy Ever (Harry)
If you weren't so cute I'd come find you and slap you.
To: The Hottest Guy Ever (Harry)
I'm cute?
From: The Hottest Guy Ever (Harry)
Maybe.
We texted back and forth for hours talking about our careers, likes, dislikes, and personal lives. We had never met until today and as a celebrity he seemed so unreal until now. Meeting him for the first time made me realize something that I should have known all along. He was a person just like me. A person with feelings. I realized how unfair I was to him by judging him from what I read in fanfictions, imagines, and in the media. He was not a seductive sex god, man whore, or all that interested in older women. He was Harry.
"Abigail? You still going running with me?" Caitlyn entered the suite.
"Running?" I sat up on the edge of the couch not sure what she meant.
"Yeah, running! It's Friday."
"Oh duh! Yeah, let me go change quick." Although Caitlyn and I occasionally argue on what's best for my public image we both get along really well when it comes to non-work related matters.
I walked into my bedroom and tossed my
phone on the bed. My suitcase was still unpacked and I had to dig through to the bottom for my running clothes. I eventually found my hot pink sports bra, running shorts, and a yellow cutoff shirt that read 'My mascara runs faster then you' in bright green lettering. I quickly changed and pulled my long hair up into a high ponytail.
"Ready!" I said walking back into the main room of the suite.
Caitlyn was already changed and sat on the end of the couch typing on her Blackberry.
"You sure?" She pointed to my bare feet.
"My shoes are in my car," I replied grabbing the room key off of the kitchen counter and opening the door to the hallway.
"Everything is in your car," she huffed following me out.
Caitlyn rode the elevator down to the the main floor of the hotel and exited through the back door of the elevator to the massive parking garage. My car was parked in the first row.
Ugh, I loved that thing. I had used an entire paycheck to buy it which was a little obnoxious, even for me. The gleaming silver paint of my Mercedes convertible reflected sunlight all over. I slid into the black leather front seat and started the ignition. With the press of a button the top slowly retracted and I pulled out of the parking spot. Caitlyn turned the radio on to a local pop station and a familiar song began playing.
"Turn it up!" I squealed.
"Ugh, you are unbelievable sometimes," she sighed reaching over to the console to turn up the song.
"Oh I just wanna take you anywhere that you'd like. We can go out any day any night, Baby, I'll take you there take you there Baby I'll take you there yeah.
Oh tell me tell me tell me how to turn your love on you can get get anything that you want. Baby just shout it shout it out. Baby just shout it out yeah." I began singing loudly and Caitlyn laughed. I was a die hard Directioner and meeting Harry this morning was surreal. I fangirled over his Twitter, Instagram, and Vine accounts.
We drove through London to a park out in the countryside where no one would bother me. Not that I minded the attention, but I liked my privacy sometimes.
I parked in the vacant lot closest to the trail that led deep into the woods and ran along the edge of the park. I opened the trunk and grabbed my neon green running shoes and put them on. I also found my arm band that I used for my phone so I could listen to music while I ran.
"Ready now?" Caitlyn leaned against my car impatiently.
I rolled my eyes, "Yes, let's go!"
I stood up and walked alongside Caitlyn to the beginning of the trail. I selected my running playlist and put my orange Skullcandy earbuds in my ears. We nodded to each other and started along the trail.
The view along the trail was incredibly beautiful. Fall was beginning to turn the leaves on the trees many different colors. Occasionally we would pass a small pond formed by the recent rainstorm and splash through puddles on the trail.
We eventually reached the end of the trail which had looped around the center of the park. Three miles in twenty-five minutes was one of my best times and I smiled as we slowed down to a jog to cool down. Pulling my earbuds out and wrapping them around the back of my neck I tapped Caitlyn on the shoulder.
She pulled her earbuds out, "What?"
"Do I having anything tomorrow?"
"Not as far as I know, why?"
"Just wondering." I knew exactly what to do.
Harry Styles, you will and I will be getting to know each other a lot better tomorrow.
