"Hello TCA's!" I say after the One Direction boys walk off the stage with their new surfboard.
It's been three months since Harry and I visited my parents and two since I released my new album. To my surprise and delight it had gone platinum. Laura was currently working on a contract with another band for a possible tour,
Beside me Lucy Hale laughed as the crowd screamed. "We're so happy to be here tonight!"
After introducing the next act Lucy and I walk off stage where Harry and the boys were talking to Lady Gaga.
I approach the small group and slip under Harry's arm. "Hey."
"Hey." He replies not looking at me with a mellow tone.
"Something wrong?" I ask placing a hand on his chest.
"I'll tell you later." He mumbled keeping his attention on Lady Gaga who was telling the boys to keep their heads up.
"Harry, what's wrong?" He seemed okay on the way here. He didn't even get upset when everyone made fun of him for his outfit. What could have happened between now and then?
"Abs, it's nothing. I'll talk to you later." I am about to protest, but am pulled away by Lucy who says we have to go back on stage.
I sigh as Lucy drags me back onstage. Looking back I see a solum group of boys for reasons I did not know. Halfway through the show I end up in the crows sitting on Harry's lap as Florida Georgia Line performs.
Leaning back I whisper into Harry's ear. "Will you tell me now? You've been quiet all night."
He sighs and pulls his bottom lip before replying. "The lads and I are just disappointed that's all."
"Disappointed? About what?"
"Our performance. It wasn't us. We've played that song live before so there's no excuse for how we played." Harry throws his hands up and lets then fall back into his lap ad though he's disgusted by himself.
"Harry, you didn't do that bad. You're just tired that's all. Besides, you're losing your voice. It's been a few months since you've had a break too. It's understandable." My fingers wind themselves in his curls at the base of his neck. During one quiet night on the bus Harry had admitted that he loved when I did that. The memories of nights like that brought a smile to my lips as I gazed into the dull emerald eyes of boy before me.
"That's still no excuse for not doing our job properly. We let our fans down. They really wanted to hear us preform that song and now..." He trails off gazing up at the stage.
"Harry, that's not true. You know that. You're fans are incredibly proud of you and the rest of the boys. You've done so much for them. One performance won't change that. It couldn't possibly." My other hand cups his cheek and turns his face towards mine.
Harry's dimples appear as he softly smiles processing my words. "You always know what to say." His lips press a soft kiss to my cheek.
"Actually, I got that out of a book." I say and look up to see Lucy standing near us, waiting for our next cue.
"So this year we are going to set a recording for twerking, but I don't think everyone knows what it is." Lucy grins as the cameras move to where I am still sitting in Harry's lap.
"That's right." Lucy and I had planned the next part beforehand and lucky Harry was apart of it. "I think we need a demonstration. Harry?"
Harry's cheeks turn a bright red and he shakes his head. "Abs, what are you doing?"
"Harry, would you please show the world how to twerk?" Lucy smiles brightly as Ed Sheeran sitting next to Harry encourages him.
"I can't. These trousers are too tight." He says.
