Chapter 5
At the beginning my ropes, were viper tight, against my skin. I knew it would be very hard to escape them. That is, until I found it. You see, when I was feeling the wooden chair, with the palm of my hands, I bumped into something. That something, was a half hidden screw, sticking out of the chair a bit. Then the idea formed in my mind. And, I was prying it would word. I started to twist and turn the screw, moving it up and down, trying to pry it off the chair.
I stopped all of my actions, when the screw was still stuck in the chair by clinging on to it by the ending part of its tail. Then, I placed one of my ropes in the hallow space, between the, head of the screw and the part that was still in the chair. Once, it was securely into place, I started to pull the rope down, snapping my hands left and right in a sawing action.
In this was, the screws rusty metal, would be cutting the piece of rope off. The lightest, sound came from my action, but I knew 'the others' were strong. They had to be if they were the leaders of a pack. I was positive they would be able to catch the faintest sound and would have discovered what I was doing, if it was not for Baldy's pleading cries. The cries distracted them long enough for me to cut the piece of rope.
After, the piece of rope snapped, I knew I could easily, rip the rope apart at any time. Then the deal came to action. I didn't expect to do a mission for them, but at least it's better than them finding out, I can't die. I was sure it wouldn't go down well with them. I could not anyone find out I couldn't die. It would be very bad if they found out.
"A deal a deal. So you better pay up." I said smugly.
No one answered me. I guess they were all very shocked that they got bamboozled by an eighteen years old girl. Heck, I would defiantly be.
"Fine. Take the shape shifter to the dungeons." ordered the booming voice finally.
The two men who had tried to attack me, came towards me and Baldy. Both of them, threw me vicous snarls with narrow slit eyes.
Looks like you made two more enemies tonight, Macy. your on a role today, a voice in my head shouted.
"But you can't be serious. You can't do this!" cried the female voice, presumably to the booming voice.
"We must. The assassin is right. A deal is a deal. We cannot betray it. We must sustain our honor."
Honor such a strange word, I think, What was honor today? The whole meaning had changed. It was hard to find true honor anywhere.
I heard a stressed sigh, from the female voice, as if she couldn't believe this was happening. Like she couldn't believe she had to submit to me. The lowly. The inferior one. The pathetic creature. She didn't say anything back to the booming voice though. The decision about our fate had been made, but it did not go as they had planned.
"Wait! Do I have to go to the dungeons? Come on do something assassin. You almost broke my arms with your little stunt!" complained Baldy.
Oh, he just did not order me around? I just had about enough with Baldy.
"Your right...I can do something." I said right before curling my hand into a tight fist.
Faster than lightning, I smashed my fist into Baldy's meaty jaw. Baldy's head jerked back, from the force of the punch as he cried out like a girl.
I flicked my hand, trying to cause the sudden pressure to decrease. Baldy's jaw was rock solid. I didn't care if my actions were childish. If 'the others' weren't complaining then it didn't matter.
"I have been dying to do that since I met you." I said with a sigh.
Baldy scowled at me, the effects of my punch was in plain sight. His jaw look swollen like a big balloon, and darkened to a light blue color. He held his bulging jaw, in his chubby hand, staring daggers at me. It look like he was going to curse at me, when the booming voice interrupted,
