Chapter 7

On the stupid piece of yellow paper was probably the most annoying thing that can happen to me. Or anyone ever. The yellow piece of paper was a wanted poster. The famous wanted poster in fact the last and defiantly not the least stupid thing the government had ever come up with. You see 50 years ago, when the creatures of the night made their grand entrance, and the weird things stated happening, people started to go AWOL. By AWOL I mean they started to steal, rape and murder. They started to sin, causing the society to become more chaotic. There was not a good police force enough to stop them. So the government made the wanted programme.

If you were found doing something that was considered wrong by the government, they would put up wanted posters up of you all over the world. These wanted posters would have a picture of you and how much money you are worth dead or alive. The money on your head is to make sure people will come and work for the government. In this way the wanted programmed took advantages of people drastic situations to catch criminals.

So because people need the money, they become what is known as the wanted hunters. They get how much money the person is worth once they have captured them and deliver them to the government. I know what you are all thinking. How come I don't become one of these wanted hunters than an assassin? I have the skill for it sure and it will be a lot less messy. I don't know why I didn't become a wanted hunter. Maybe because it seems too how I put it 'goody touches' for me?

Anyway the poster Jade was holding had a big size picture of me. I looked younger about fourteen in the picture although you could still recognize it was me. The government has a picture of everyone that's alive so they can keep track of the world's population. Once someone is born, they must be reported to the government. Below the picture of me was the words 'DEAD OR ALIVE' in big bold writing.

Below that were the words, 'wanted for 90,000 either dead or alive as soon as possible". I couldn't believe it. Ninety grand was big money. I could give myself in for that much money. What else didn't make sense was, why is there so much money on my head? Usually the first time you get caught and put on the wanted poster the money price isn't so high; it's most likely at least thirty grand. Why is my price so high? It was the same average price I would get for one of my kills. Does the government really take me as that much of a threat?

"Unbelievable." Jade admitted, agreeing with my inner thoughts.

"Where did you get this from?" I blubbered at her.

"Well my friend gave it to me. She said that the police were putting it everywhere like on every tree and lamp-post."

Seriously, this isn't good.

"But how do they know that Macy killed Valentina?" Amy questioned

I stared at the confused look on Amy's face.

"They couldn't have have. I left no clues."

"Are you sure?" Jeffrey asked.

I nodded my head. "Yeah it isn't make first kill you know. Doing it for this long...I don't make mistakes." I replied.

I looked at the poster thinking about what could have gotten me caught. It can't be because I killed Valentina. My gun made no sound so no one from the bar could have heard it. I also cleaned up all the blood. What had happened? What had caught me out? Then it hit's me faster than lighting.

"Baldy." I whispered suddenly.

"What about Baldy?" Amy said seeming panicked.

"Baldy!" I said loudly before cursing "When we were climbing through the window I scraped my arm. I was bleeding. Thus, there must have been some blood on the window from my arm. When we were going back to Ms Fernando house, remember when we heard the police? They must have found the blood on the window and well you can guess the rest."
