"Hey, cheer up." Asher looked at me with guilt and pity in his jade orbs, a faint smile painted on his face.
I merely smiled back weakly, shrugging my shoulders.
"There is a reason I didn't want to tell you all about this." He told me with a frown on his beautiful face.
He can't frown, it stains his flawless face.
"It's fine, some things shouldn't be kept hidden." I told him, adjusting my pillow.
We both were in my room, quite surprising yes. I was tucked under the covers facing the right side, with Asher sitting next to the bed. I was quite exasperated from all the explanation, so I wanted a good sleep. But, Asher wanted to accompany me until I sleep. Deeply in my heart, I was happy with him accompanying me because it's only happens once in a blue moon.
I tugged at the covers, adjusting the cotton blanket comfortably. I lied, "You don't have to accompany me till I sleep, y'know."
I don't want him to leave, I want him to stay.
"No I insist, princess." He told me with a charming smirk, releasing all the butterflies in my stomach.
Just as I desired, I don't want to act too clingy.
"Whatever." I lied again, hiding my small giggle.
"Princess, I know that you want me to stay. I can see it in your eyes." He told me with a chuckle.
I abruptly lifted my covers and sat up, I said, "You're delusional."
"You're even ogling at me now like an impossible dream." He teased me, which caught me.
I stayed silent and hid under the covers. I heard a chuckle from him and peeked slightly. "Whatever you think, Asher."
"So...you admit it?" He asked me, but it seemed more like a statement rather than a question.
"Whatever." I told him with a muffled voice.
I got rid of the covers from my face and stared at him in the eyes. His jade orbs were very deep with enchanting colors, as if they were really made from jade.
Maybe his orbs were made from jade, he's rich after all.
I shrugged off that thought, closing my eyes in response. I felt him stroking my cheek, tucking a loose strand of my hair behind my ear. All of a sudden, I felt a tingling feeling on my forehead, sending an electric jolt down my spine. I shot my eyes open to see Asher leaning over with his lips on my forehead.
Ah...no wonder I felt that tingling feeling.
"Sleep tight, princess." He whispered huskily and intertwined his fingers around my free left hand.
Without a doubt, this will be the best sleep I've ever had in my whole life.
"Love you." I whispered subconsciously, smiling by my own.
"I love you too, Taylor." Asher told me, giving a small peck on my lips.
I was too ecstatic to sleep, feeling the everlasting warmth on my lips. But, I could sleep in his embrace.
***
Indeed, it's the best sleep I've ever had.
I woke up with warmth on my face, a blinding light forcing me to wake up from a pleasant sleep. I rustled under my covers, remembering the events last night.
He kissed me and said that he loves me.
I smiled without even realizing it, giggling slightly. I somehow felt really energized, my bottled up joy explaining like fireworks. Suddenly, I felt something rustling beside me. My eyes shot open and I abruptly turned to my right side.
