Chapter 26

[Duskspark's POV]

I woke up in StarClan. Was I dead? No. I saw nine warriors in front of me.

"Hello Duskspark. We decided it would just be easier if we gave you your nine lives now then wait any longer." A white and grey tom told me.

"Okay, I'm ready. Thank you for this." I told them and sat down ready for my nine lives.

The first cat that came up I knew right away. It was little Silverkit that died the day before she became an apprentice because of Greencough. She looked stronger now. She wore a huge smile on her face.

"Hello Duskspark, I'm here to give you your first life. With this life I give you grace. Use it well to know when to kill someone and not to kill someone." Silverkit smiled and touched my forehead with her nose. Well I had to lean down for her able to do it.

The next cat stepped up. It was the white and grey tom that spoke first when I got here. I wonder who he was. He didn't look like anyone I knew.

"I am Tidestar, the first leader of TideClan. I am here to give you your second life. With this life I give you mentoring. Use it well to be able to be mentored and mentor your apprentices well." The white and grey tom, Tidestar smiled and touched my head with his nose.

The next cat I almost didn't recognize. It had been so long since I've seen him. I had been so young when he died.

"I am here to give you your third life. With this life I give you honor. You shall be looked up to as leader but you should also look up to other cats." Heronstar smiled to me then touched my head with his forehead.

The next cat I knew by her white fur. She was also the first shecat to become leader of TideClan and the only shecat to become leader. She was a legend in TideClan after she died from sickness after the big battle.

"I am here to give you your fourth life. With this life I give you forgiveness. You must forgive your enemies to be a great leader." Snowstar purred to me then touched her nose to my forehead.

The next cat stepped up. I somewhat knew who it was. He was the deputy before Snowstar. He was also my father. I had heard a lot about him from my mother.

"I am here to give you your fifth life. With this life I give you adventure. Use it well to always be looking for more things to do and more cats to help." Oakpelt smiled to me. He then touched my head with his nose.

The next cat I knew even faster. It was my mother. Only a mouse-brain would not recognize their own mother.

"I am here to give you your sixth life. With this life I give you patience. You can't over throw Greystar yet so you must have patience." Flamesky purred to me. Then she touched my forehead with her nose.

The next cat I didn't know. He looked like Flamesky though.

"I am Clawfang, Flamesky's brother. I am here to give you your seventh life. With this life I give you truth. You must always say what is true to the clan." The tom said then touched my forehead with his nose.

The next cat I knew too. He was my mentor. He died when EverClan took over TideClan. He had too many injuries.

"I am here to give you your eighth life. With this life I give you confidence. You need it if your going to stand in front of everyone." Thunderquake chuckled then touched his nose to my forehead.

The last cat stepped up. I wanted to cry right then. It was my leader. I didn't want him to be gone. I wanted him to go back to leading TideClan.

"I am here to give you your ninth and final life. With this life I give you peace. I know you suffer much and I want you to have peace when things get rough." Whitestar said to me and touched my forehead with his nose.

"Thank you." I croaked out. He backed up then faced the other StarClan cats.

"I give you Duskstar! The new leader of TideClan!" Whitestar yowled. The StarClan warriors cheered my name. I had a small smile on my face.
