"Hey Luke," Michael patted Luke's back as he took a seat right next to him. He nodded and continued his game of fifa.

"All you ever do is play that game. Have you ever even had a girlfriend before?" Michael questioned. He paused his game and turned to his right.

"Shut up Mikey. Have you ever had a girlfriend?" He shot the question right back at him, laughing as he saw the black haired boys face go red.

"Exactly. So shut the hell up and grab a controller."

Ava

A small sigh left her the girls mouth as she pushed the small cart through the store, having very little money to spend. She put in a loaf of bread and a gallon of milk, adding in later supplies to make sandwiches and threw in a box of ramen noodles. She strolled over to the check out area and started putting the items onto the table.

She ignored the boys stare on her and continued putting the items on the conveyor belt. When she was all done, her eyes connected with the blonde haired boy and raised her eyebrows. He blushed in embarrassment and muttered a small sorry. He continued scanning the items and put them in the bag.

"That'll be $23.94," he said, looking at her forehead. He didn't want to look into her eyes, knowing he wouldn't be able to look away if he did. She handed over a twenty and a second later a five.

He gave her the change and asked, "do you need help carrying your bags out to your car?"

She looked up at him surprisingly but shook her head no. Luke frowned, wanting to help.

"Are you sure? I don't mind, anything to get outta hear," he joked hoping to get her to smile. She just shook her head again and walked away, carrying her own bags. He sighed and continued doing his job.

She would've said yes, god she would've. He was extremely attractive, having ocean blue eyes and a lip piercing that she couldn't take her eyes off of. She almost said yes, but the problem was, she didn't have a car. She could barely keep the shitty apartment she lived in, there was no way she could afford a car too. And besides, she hadn't spoken to a boy besides Calum since him. She shivered at the thought and shook her head, getting rid of the horrid memories. She shoved her hands into her pockets, the bags dangling around her wrist. She got uncomfortable at the pain on her wrist that she sighed and didn't care how cold her hands got, she would just carry the bags like a normal person.

Fifteen minutes later, she reached her apartment building. It looked like a normal one, all nice and even had a bell hop. There were really nice apartments in here, but those were at the bottom. The higher you went up, the less quality they got. Of course, she pressed the highest number and closed her eyes and cringed at the horrible elevator music. Right before the door closed, she heard a voice yell," hold the doors!" She opened her eyes and stuck her hand out, blocking the doors from closing. They pushed back open and she looked out at the figure running over. Her eyes widened when she realized it was the boy from the store. He was still in his uniform, his shift probably ended. He looked down at her (since he was a fucking giant) and smiled. He pressed two while hers was fifteen. He noticed but didn't say anything.

"I see you didn't need help carrying your bags," he tried making conversation, but failed. She laughed awkwardly but quietly. She tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and nodded. The both listened to the music when the elevator stopped and the doors opened.

"See you around.." He trailed off his sentence, wanting to know her name. But, he didn't get. She just simply nodded right before the doors shut. He sighed and walked down the hall to his apartment. He couldn't keep his mind off that girl. She was interesting, definitely liked to keep to herself, though.

While he was on the second floor, she made her way onto the fifteenth floor, moving past all the lumps on the floor and the wall paper that was falling off. She finally reached her apartment, all the way on the end, and unlocked the door to her one bedroom apartment. She kicked her shoes off and walked straight into the kitchen, putting her things away.
