Ave

It was almost two in the morning when it happened. 1:56 to be exact. Ave wasn't sleeping, which is normal, when she got a knock on her door. At first she thought it was Luke, but then she remembered he said he would go down the fire escape if he came to see her.

Ave stood up and walked over to the door. Who could be here at two in the morning, she thought. She opened the door and instantly regretted it. She slammed the door shut but before it closed, a foot stopped it in place. They pushed the door opened and Ave sighed.

Not these guys, she thought.

"Ava, nice to see you again." The small girl rolled her eyes and stepped aside, knowing they wouldn't leave any time soon. All three of them walked in and stood around her small living room.

Ave walked over. "What do you guys want? I paid you already. Months ago."

"Yes, you did. But your friend Calum, he didn't. We were.. Hoping you could tell us where he is?" Jack stepped forward, towering over Ave.

She swallowed. "You know I don't say shit behind peoples backs-"

"Yes, we do. But your gonna have to bend the rules this time Princess," Damion stepped forward and backed her into a corner. Ave thought of every outcome there possibly was. She could tell them she didn't know, but they knew her. She always knew where he was.

Another option would be to tell them but, she would never do something like that to Calum. She thought of another possible solution, which seemed stupid, but it was the best one she could think of in those few seconds.

She threw the first punch. Damion fell back and hit his head on the book shelf behind him. It knocked him out cold. Now, she is a small girl, but ever since what happened last time, she was never gonna feel or be that weak again. She had trained for months with Calum, learning how to fight and protect herself and other people.

Jack and the other guy (she didn't know his name) lunged forward and tackled her to the ground. Jack sat on top of her and punched her square in the jaw. She kicked her leg up and hit Jacks stomach, making him groan in pain and he fell next to her. She put her leg on the other guys abdomen and kicked her leg behind her head, throwing him behind her and into the wall. She stood up and kicked Jack in the face, giving him a bloody nose.

Mark, the name she previously didn't know, stood up and punched her right in the face, but she didn't fall. She just punched him back twice as hard. Both of the intruders were on the ground, facing her.

"Calum is my friend. I'm not telling you where he is. Find him yourself, leave me out of it. I paid my debt, so get your sorry asses out of my apartment and take your unconscious friend with you." Ave waved them off and walked over to her door and pushed it open. Jack and Mark both grabbed Damion by a hand and dragged him out of the apartment, but not before Jack stopped and whispered to Ave.

"This isn't like last time with Elijah, Aveline Jones. We will find him, and we will come back for you too. We know what you guys did. Were not gonna let you slip away like he did. Never again." He walked out. She slammed the door and locked it, walking into her living room. It was trashed, her couch was flipped over, the lamp was smashed, and there was a dent in her wall.

She sighed and started to clean up. It was probably almost four in the morning until she finnaly finished, including wiping up the blood on the floor. She wasn't sure if it was one of there's or hers.

She stood up and walked into the bathroom. She had a bruise forming underneath her eye and one on the underside of her jaw. Her lip was also cut open, and her knuckles were bruised and split open. The small girl sighed, and cleaned herself up. She couldn't get what Jack said to her out of her head.

"This isn't like last time with Elijah, Aveline Jones. We will find him, and we will come back for you too. We know what you guys did. Were not gonna let you slip away like he did. Never again."

Elijah used to be the leader of their drug deal exchange. That was, until Ava and Calum came along and got rid of him. And then they messed up. Big time.

Him. Why did Jack bring him up? He's gone. He's been gone for years now.

Ave sighed and decided to call Calum. She didn't care if he was sleeping, they needed to talk and they needed to talk now.
