3 years later
Time flies by on the wings of the angel of life.
Natasha was still in college but had gotten an internship at a psychological institute simultaneously.
And for a fast learner like Clint, he had ascended the ranks and became a level 6 agent.
He had gone on a few simple missions to collect intel, sugar coating them as 'business trips' to Natasha. At first she was a little suspicious and prodded many a times, but gradually she accepted them without a word. If she was still suspicious, she didn't show it.
Clint made an effort to visit Natasha at least twice a week except when he was on his 'business trips'. They would have lunch or dinner, and go on little dates - watch a movie, have a stroll in the park, or chill at Natasha's house.
Today Natasha was to be meeting Maria, Pepper, Jane and Darcy for lunch so Clint decided to have his with his fellow colleague.
Clint was already indulging in his fried rice when Agent Morse came along with a tray of food.
"Are you free this afternoon?" Bobbi asked as she twirled her fork around some ramen.
Clint thought for a while, remembering that today was Natasha's day out with the girls.
"Yeah." He replied, then let out a silent chuckle as he remembered telling Natasha that maybe 'yeah' will be their always.
"Shall we watch a movie together?" Bobbi suggested with a sweet smile, eyes twinkling with joy after Clint said he was free.
Clint had never told anyone apart from Director Fury and Coulson about Natasha. He felt that since he wasn't allowed to tell Natasha about the organization, he wouldn't tell those in the organization about her. It only seemed fair that way. Hence, Bobbi was totally oblivious to him having a girlfriend and was still trying really hard to get into his good books.
"M'kay." Clint replied nonchalantly, scraping the last few grains of rice and peas off his plate.
For a guy with such good eyesight, he was ironically blind to girls trying to get his attention and send him subtle hints of romantic feelings. It was the same with Laura in the past. But I guess you could say he is a contented and devoted man, having only eyes for Natasha.
Two hours in the movie theatre sitting next to Clint had Bobbi on cloud nine. Even though Clint paid no attention to her and found interest only in the movie and popcorn, Bobbi was content and sure it was a good start to having a closer relationship with him.
They exited the theatre with Bobbi being overly ecstatic while Clint threw her awkward glances.
"People died in the movie. Hundreds to be exact." Clint commented, studying her reaction.
"I know." Bobbi smiled and walked on ahead of Clint.
They reached the bus stop and Bobbi spotted her bus approaching. She was going to visit her mother before heading back to base.
"See you tomorrow! Hope to have more movie dates with you!" She waved and boarded the bus.
Clint sighed and shook his head as he went to the parking lot to get his motorbike.
Riding through a dull and gloomy neighbourhood against the purple evening sky, Clint enjoyed the peace and tranquility of the lonely place.
That was until he heard rough shouting in the distance, followed by the clanging of metal.
He sped up towards the sound and chanced upon a gang fight in an alley with walls defaced by graffiti.
Two groups of youth, numbers amount to 15, were in the midst of frenzied slashing.
It took a moment for Clint to process the weapons they were using - machetes.
And being an agent, a fighter, a protector, who was he to say no to putting a stop to the gang fight and restoring law and order?
