A Perfect Proposal

Jason's pov

I walk in the store to get some flowers and her dad was there buying groceries too! I quickly walk over to him. I should probably tell him I'm going to ask Miranda to marry me. "Hey sir." He turns around and smiles. "Hey Jason, how's Nashville going?" "Great, I got me a record deal yesterday. I have something I want to tell you sir." I glance around. "More in private though." He nods and pays for his groceries and I get the purple tulips. Miranda's favorite flower. We walk back to my truck. "I know this might not surprise you. But I love Miranda with everything I've got. And I want to spend the rest of my life with her. So sir, if I have your blessing I want to ask her to be my wife." His eyes go wide. "Wow, Jason, I'd be honored to have you marry my daughter. You are a great man." I smile and hug him. "Thanks sir, I'm throwing a bonfire this weekend. Come out and see the place, maybe." He smiles. "You plan on proposing then don't ya?" I smirk and nod. "You know me so well." I give him the address and drive back home with the flowers in my hand. "Hey baby?" I call. "In the kitchen Jay!" I walk in and she and Sierra are eating triscuits while looking over a book.... Wait is that wedding dresses?! "Um what ya lookin' at dear?" "Ooh Jason, Luke proposed to Sierra! Isn't this great?" "Yeah of course hun!" I hand her the flowers. Sierra isn't the only bride.

*this weekend*

I drive to the jewelry store. "Congratulations." The guy says, handing me the engagement ring I picked out a few weeks ago." "Thanks. And thanks for the great find!"

Miranda's pov

Jason shows back up with bags of chips and salsa. I smile and walk over as he sets them down. "This party is gonna be a rager." I say excitedly. Just then my dad's truck pulls up! "Uh, Jay, what the heck is my dad doing here?" He smiles. "You'll see darlin'." He grabs my hand and waves to someone. Then Tully tosses him the mic. I'm so confused. Dad smilingly walks over to see what's going on too. "I have something to tell my amazing girlfriend and I want to share it with all my friends and family." I look around confused. What's going on?

Jason's pov

I grab her hands. "Baby girl, I've loved you for as long as I can remember. We've been the closest of friends through thick and thin. I'm so glad I worked up the courage to tell you how I really feel. Because surprisingly a beautiful golden eyed, brunette loved a dumb old redneck who could sing right back. My heart just soared the day you said you loved me too." Alex brought over the ring box and secretly dropped in my hand. "Miranda Brown love of my life best damn girlfriend I've ever had. Will you make me the happiest damn cowboy on the planet by...."

Miranda's pov

My jaw drops in shock. "Becoming my wife?" He asks, dropping to one knee and showing me the most amazing diamond ring I've ever seen. No wonder dad was here. Tears blur my vision. "Oh Jason, that was beautiful! Yes I'll marry you!" I cry, hugging him. He kisses me hard and puts the ring on my finger. "I never knew an old cowboy could ever be so proud." He whispers, looking in my eyes our fingers laced together. "You complete me, you amazing sexy cowboy." I whisper kissing him again. "I have a sweet little beautiful perfect all American country girl." He says. Our friends cheer and Jason picks me up bridal style. "Now we really have something to celebrate for!" He says, making me smile. I press my lips to his in a long passionate kiss. "Make love to me cowboy." I whisper. His hands hold me tighter. "I love you baby." "I love you too, Jason. More than life itself."
