A Not So Secret Love

Miranda's pov

He kisses me hard and sweeps me off my feet. "Finally you're mine forever." He whispers. We walk out of the church and go to his truck which someone tied aluminum cans to. I laugh. Jason takes his tie off. He points to the just married sign and says, "Proud to be." He then kisses me again and waves to the crowd. We drive away in his truck.

*later*

We get off the plane in Cosumel. My hand in his. "Oh Jason!" I gasp, seeing the beautiful romantic rose trail leading to a moonlit dinner with a certain cowboy's band. He pulls out a chair and I sit down. "Wow, cowboy you went all out." "Only the best for my sugar." My cheeks get red.

*after dinner*

Jason's pov

*in his dream*

I stand in front of her bed. "You've already hurt her enough! Leave us alone!" I yell. He laughs and kicks me in the knee. I grab his arms and throw him back. "All the beatings have made me stronger. I won't let you push me around anymore." He throws me to the ground, a foot to my chest. He levels a gun with her head. My eyes go wide in horror. "No! Please don't!" I scream desperately reaching for him. He shoots her!!

Miranda's pov

I wake up hearing gasping. Oh man! Jason's having a nightmare. "Jason! Wake up!" I gasp, shaking him. He shoots upright, eyes still closed, pistol drawn! I duck my head as he swings it around. "Jason stop!" I shout. He lowers it and opens his eyes. "What... Happened?" "You were having a nightmare." I gasp. He hugs me. "Thank God it was just a dream." He whispers. "Yeah it's okay, Jay."

*the next day*

Jason's pov

Ugh I'm exhausted. I was too afraid to go back to sleep. I walk to the lobby where they have a breakfast thing going so I get a plate for her and me and bring it back upstairs. She's still asleep. I smile and kiss her head. She wakes up and smiles up at me. "Hey cowboy." "Hey Sugar." We eat breakfast then go to the beach. A cool breeze blowing up. The water lapping at our bare feet. "The wedding was nice and the honeymoon is even nicer." She says, my arms around her. I'm so glad she's mine. "I love you baby." I say, kissing her gently. She instantly deepens the kiss, making me smile. She whispers my name. "Yeah baby?" "Do me. Right here on the beach." My eyes go wide. "Really? Right here?" "Oh yeah."

*one week later*

We get back home after the honeymoon and Luke is waiting for me. I wonder what that crazy redneck wants. "Hey dude, how was Cosumel?" "Absolutely amazing!" She cries, closing the door. My face gets red. Curse my blushing cheeks. She puts a hand in my back pants pocket, only making me redder and Luke bust out laughing. I roll my eyes and flip him off, grabbing my girl around the waist. "Love you baby!" I say, kissing her proudly.
