Chapter 1

Melodie's P.O.V

Deucalion had a plan and when he has a plan we have to follow it. That was the downside of being in the alpha pack. The upside was the automatic protection and the power. My brothers and I were omegas before he came along. He had my brothers kill the rest of our pack but let me live only because they refused to kill me. Later we came across another pack that Deucalion helped me take down so I could become an alpha too. He even did the same thing to his own daughter. 

"Mel come on it's time to go," Aiden said snapping me out of my thoughts. "

Why do we even have to do this" I asked grabbing my backpack and walking to the door. 

"Because Deucalion wants us to go after the people who seem to be important to Scott McCall" he told me. 

"I know, now can we just get this over with," I asked getting on the back of Aiden's bike. 

"For once I agree with her" Nina said getting on the back of Ethan's bike. 

I rolled my eyes at her. Nina and I didn't really get along too well.

"Let's go," Aiden said starting his bike and taking off down the road with Ethan following not too far behind.

Nina's P.O.V

We pulled up to the school where the boys parked their bikes. I got off and looking around taking in my surroundings. This was going to be fun.

We were walking to the office to get our schedules when I ran into someone. 

"Oh my god I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention. I'm Scott McCall" he said sticking out his hand for me to shake. 

"Nina Davis," I said shaking his hand.

"Come on Nina we need to find the office," Melodie said walking over to us. 

"I can help you guys if you want," Scott said. 

"I think we'll manage," she said grabbing my arm and pulling me away.

"We weren't even here for 5 minutes and you're already flirting with the enemy," Aiden said laughing. 

"Shut up," I told him as we walked into the office. 

Stiles' P.O.V

I was standing in the hall reading a text that Scott when someone walked into me. 

"Best first day ever," the girl said annoyed before bending down to pick up her stuff. 

"Hey, I'm sorry about that I shouldn't have been standing there," I told her helping her pick up her stuff.

 "It's ok I should have been paying more attention to where I was going," she said standing up.

Wow, she was pretty. 

"I'm Stiles by the way," I said handing her the rest of her stuff. 

"Melodie," she said looking up at me. 

"Do you need help finding your class?" I asked her. 

"Yes please I have no idea where I'm going," she told me laughing. 

"What class do you have," I asked her.

"Miss Blake," she told me looking at her schedule. "Today is your lucky day because that was where I was already heading," I told her and she smiled. "Follow me," I told walking down the hall and she laughed following me. 

We walked into the class and took our seats. Hers right next to mine. Everyone in the classes phones seemed to go off at once. I checked mine and I had a text.

I turn my phone off and I looked down only to notice a bandage around Lydia's ankle. 

"Hey Lydia what happened," I asked her. 

"Prada bit me" she said back. 

"Your dog" I asked confused. 

"No my handbag. Yes my dog" she said back.

 I nodded before turning my attention back to the lesson. After a couple minutes I heard something hit the window. I turned and looked to see it was a bird. It seemed weird but I paid no attention to it till more birds started hitting the window. The window started to break and there were then birds flying around the room. Everyone started to panic and I immediately went over to Lydia to protect her. I looked over to see Melodie hiding under her desk a look of terror on her face. I reached my hand out to her and she took it holding on to it tightly like it was her lifeline.
