Chapter 19

Melodie's P.O.V

"Did you know your dad's car is in the school parking lot and has been since last night?" Scott's dad asked Stiles. 

"I didn't know, what does that mean" Stiles asked. 

"It means he officially missing" Scott's dad told him. "Who's she" he asked pointing at me.

"Melodie she's my girlfriend," Stiles told him. 

"Well can she wait out here in need to talk to you" Scott's dad asked.

"Sorry but we decided that we aren't going to keep secrets from each other so if I go she goes" Stiles told him.

Scott's dad sighed.

 "Fine" he said before leading us to an empty classroom. "Stiles why am I getting the feeling you know something that can help us find your dad" Scott's dad asked. 

"If I did why would I not tell you" Stiles asked. 

"If it meant helping your dad why wouldn't you" Scott's dad asked. 

"So you're asking me to tell you what I wouldn't not tell you" Stiles asked. 

"First I have no idea what you just said and second how about you just help me help you" Scott's dad asked. 

"Well I don't know to help you help me tell you something that would help me if I don't know it" Stiles told him. 

"Are you doing this on purpose" Scott's dad asked. 

"I don't know anything can we just go" Stiles asked. 

"Where are your other friends" Scott's dad asked.

"You mean Scott" Stiles asked. 

"I mean Scott, Isaac Lahey, Allison Argent, Nina Davis, these twins Ethan and Aiden. I've been told your whole little clique didn't show up at school today" Scott's dad said. 

"I don't have a clique" Stiles told them and he was right we weren't a clique we were a pack. 

Sure they pack had multiple alphas but who cares we were still a pack. 

"Stiles come on there's been a disturbing amount of violent activity in this county in the past few months. Several murders tied to this school. I don't know what's going on here but it's serious and hey your dad is missing" Scott's dad told him. 

"You know what agent McCall there were two murders 6 years ago that are still unsolved but your not questioning people as hard as you questioned Stiles for that. Heck no one was even questioned anyone for that murder so how about you stop wasting your time bothering Stiles and go figure out who killed my parents in this town 6 years ago and leave whatever is going on to the people that know this town better than you" I snapped at Scott's dad. 

"Okay fine but I don't want you two going home alone is there someone you can stay with" Scott's dad asked. 

"They're with me" someone said. 

We all looked over to see Deaton. 

Nina's P.O.V

Scott, my dad, the rest of the alpha pack and I were all in the woods going after Miss Morrell when we noticed a glowing yellow light. 

"It's a firefly," Scott told my dad.

"Unusual for this region," my dad told him. 

"It's because of Jennifer isn't it," Scott asked. 

"Just before all this started a deer crashed into Lydia's car, the cats went crazy at the animal clinic, birds flew into the high school it was all her" Scott continued. 

"They say animals can sense natural disasters when their about to happen. They can sense supernatural ones as well" my dad told him. 

"Does she scare you?" Scott asked. 

"She concurs me. If she willing to kill that many innocent people for her cause, people like your mother and Stiles' father" my dad told him. 

"Are you willing to kill innocent people?" Scott asked. 

"I'll kill any living thing that gets in my way," my dad told him. 

My dad walked away and I stood there waiting for him to be gone.

"Scott what are you doing he is just going to use you," I asked him. 

"I need to find my mom and Stiles' dad," he told me. 

"There are other ways," I told him.

"Like what waiting around for them to die than have Lydia find the bodies," Scott asked. 

"Scott that's not what I meant," I told him. 

"I know Nina but I trying to do whatever it takes to find them before it's too late" he said following my dad. 

I sighed before following them too.

"How did you know Marin that we would come for you," my dad asked as we walked up to her and the rest of the pack. 

"Because Jennifer and I are the same and I know you've always been suspicious of us of what we can do," Miss Morrell told my dad. 

"With good reason. We know you sent that girl. The one who helped Isaac" Kali said.

"What was her name again," my dad asked. 

"Braden and I sent her to do what I've always done. Maintain balance" Morrell told him. 

"What do you know about Jennifer," Kali asked. 

"Nothing more than you know. This isn't you Scott. Go back to your friends" she told me. 

"He can decide what is right for himself," my dad told her. 

"Not without all the information. Have you told him everything you've done? How you've piled up bodies in a narcissistically psychotic effort to form your perfect pack. Bodies that included Enis by the way" Morrell said back. "My brother saved him. He was alive when Deucalion went in to see him. He wants you to go after Derek, Kali to force his decision" she continued. "If Derek joins the pack it paves the way for Scott," she said. 

"The lies people will tell when they're begging for their life," my dad said as he took the cap off his walking stick and threw it at Morrell. 

It hit her in the shoulder and she fell out of the circle of mountain ash. Scott and I ran forward to help her as Kali, Ethan and Aiden got ready to fight. 

"Hey back off" Scott told them and they actually listened.

Scott pulled the stick out of her shoulder and threw it to the side. 

"Hey we're not going to let them kill you" I told her. "But if you know something. If you know where they are" Scott said.

"The nemeton. You find that you'll find Jennifer. Find the nemeton" she told us.

Stiles' P.O.V

Melodie, Lydia, Isaac, Allison, and I were all at the animal clinic with Deaton. 

"It has to be on a telluric current, or maybe at an access of two or where they all intersect I just know it's where Derek took Paige to die" I told everyone. 

"My dad and Gerard were there once but Gerard said it was year ago and he couldn't remember where it was. My dad obviously isn't here to tell us" Allison said. 

"Yeah while mine either," I said as Melodie started to rub my back. 

I turned to look at her and she gave me a sympathetic smile.

"Then how do we find this place," Isaac asked. 

"There might be away but it's dangerous. We're gonna need Scott" Deaton told us.
